Given that he is Belgian, I wouldn't have thought it would be like Darth Vader as I don't think they have the "a" sounding like in "hay". I would also have thought that the "s" is silent, though that very much depends on where the name comes from. So I would go for "Vaddee", or possibly "Vaddiss" if that's easier to say. But a pure guess!

I have a theory on that. We thought we were signing Drazen but Belgrade sent us his sister instead. Nobody as useless as that would have got so many caps for his country even if he had been born in San Marino!!!

I was hoping that a press conference would be held tonight with the Belgium guy holding up his new yellow shirt.

Well with McGrandles now announced, I don't think he'll be coming in before Friday. You'd think if we were in a position to announce two players in quick succession we'd make it a double signing. That would also help play down expectations around McGrandles, as I think he's one for the future rather than the present.

That "Unknown Norwich" guy is hilarious. In two consecutive tweets he first denies all knowledge of VOO and says if he doesn't know about it it's not happening, then in his very next tweet admits he never heard anything about McGrandles and he can't be expected to know everything. <doh>
