    Good Morning Everyone,

Last night we saw Sheffield Wednesday dump out Burnley, Shrewsbury beat Leicester and the MK Dons beat Manure.

    How important is the Cup?

How would you feel if Leeds exited the Cup tonight against Bradford?

Is the game more important as its against a local rival?

I'm about to go into a meeting, speak laters

Burnley and the foxes will use the cup game to give some game time to 2nd stringers, as their most important job is staying in the prem, so expected both to be beaten. Scum have spent £135m and I can only think of Di Maria who cost £60m, so who else have they bought? I think LVG will have used last night to offload a lot of shyte first teamers.

I know the cup isn't as important because we won't win it, but we need to use it to get the team working together as a unit. I think we should use our kids to give them game time and also use the 2nd string newbies as well as anyone else who needs match fitness. The game is important to the fans because we need to see progress and another defeat will be black for us and Hock.

Just read some garbage that he told the YEP about 4 senior players coming to see him and giving him the teams support. He also said this shyte too:“Our goal threat isn't great enough but we've got (Aidan) White, (Steve) Morison and (Souleymane) Doukara out. That doesn't help" So if he thinks White and Morison are our better attacking players what fooking hope do we have. They will also be part of this senior group who backed him

Good morning Matt and co from an overcast Cote de bardsey
I think that the game is important as it will be seen by millions and some will be potential, targets
I understand that Casper will not be playing why not?
Probably the 4 players about to leave well let them play you never know they well may want to show off their talents to prospective clubs
The cup is very important ask MKDONS they had their biggest gate ever last night and the supporters would be exstatic especially with the score for make no mistake this will have resounding effects in Manchester LVG is about as unsuccessful as Hock yet no one have said off with LVG
No lets hope for a result and a good cup draw

Further to my earlier reply, last night's embarassment should be a wake up call tour team. I hope the Hock rests one or two but still puts out a strong side. Whilst we may not win the competition, it is an opportunity for players to stake a claim to a place in the starting XI for matches we're really interested in. Think we have anough to beat Bradford & I suggest anything other than a comfortable win and the Hock could well be gone by Saturday.

Morning all ... this competition is perfect to get your season going ... there is a real chance to get to Wembley exactly because the Prem clubs roll the dice so chances are you can get some soft draws and go on a run, just as Bradford did ... winning is a habit, and the League Cup can help to get that habit going and build confidence, so I would go for it ... Hock needs to go, the guy is thick ... look, its one thing being able to read a coaching manual and stick out the cones to run all the latest UEFA training drills, any fcuking dick can do that, but its another thing getting a squad to work and play as a unit, to implement your tactics each week to stifle your opponents and create opportunities to win the game ... it takes skill and leadership to get your players flying from the first whistle ... Hock has shown us he is simply not capable, and I'm tired of him telling us how good he is and how nobody else would be able to do a better job "with what we've got" ... 6-0 to Bradford and fcuk off once and for all you knob

Morning all.... I see it as important to have a run this season, our dreams of promotion are fast fading so we need something to look forward to, a home draw against a Premier League team. It also gives our players more time to gel together, I wouldn't like to see much more than 4 youngsters or back up players in the squad tonight.

It is no use our coach moaning players are not match fit if he doesn't give them games, surely tonight we should see Zan Benedicic? We have signed him on loan on and he joined nearly a week before the season started so surely he is ready to have a match? I would also like to see Cook starting alongside him and Taylor at LB

The fear is it being a Wednesday night game, Berardi will have to start at RB and he has hardly kicked a ball this season, is he ready to play 90 minutes tonight and then again on Saturday with Byram being suspended?

I find the league cup totally pointless.

Good to see the scum fans crying last night. Farewell to them. I said the **** and rot started last season. They're going to go tumbling down

Cup is completely irrelevant. Best well do is get as far as drawing a pl team. If they're interested well then be hockeyed. Even when we were good, we were crap at cups. Anyone catch the witty hockeyed comment?

The relevance of the league cup is that it gives the squad some game time and an opportunity to push for a starting place. Moreover, it creates momentum in the club. And finally, whilst our chances of winning the thing aren't great, we could conceivably get to the final and play a top 4 side. Would this result in us getting into Europe by default, or would the league cup place to to the next placed side in the PL if we didnt actually win the game?

Eire and wit .... mmm... no doesn't work <ok>

never known a time like this on the one hand I'm with Billy as no way should Hock be in his job, but on the other hand I have to see how the Cellino model pans out and he seems to know his stuff. Yes he gets rid of coaches so at some stage Hock will go but at a time that suits MC. So maybe we should all take a chillpill and sit back and cringe at the ride?

Still angry about the Hock's stupid comments though

    Taylor

    Berardi, Wootton, Cooper, Taylor

    Bianchi, Benedicic, Cook, Dawson

    Sharp, Antonnuci

That side should have enough to batter Parkinson's boys

    Morning all,

Every game Leeds United play is important to me, including tonight. Try telling the 3,700 away fans it doesn't matter. Never mind Bradford being well up for their cup final, we should be up and at them from the off, we're Leeds United and we should get the old arrogance back that our club is superior to every other club, and in a year or two we'll have a team to warrant that arrogance.
I'd never want to see us lose just so we can see the back of Hockaday, that situation will take care of itself anyway, regardless of whether we win tonight. **** all the ****, inferior clubs, we're the scalp everyone wants and we must make sure in future that they won't get our scalp without one hell of a fight.

Onwards and upwards, **** all the rest.

I think we should field a relatively strong team and i'd go 4-4-2 as well.

Lets at least try and make it harder for teams to beat us, even if we end up with a few 0-0's, its better for team confidence and something to build on than leaking 3 or 4 goals a game.

Given we're trying to get a system and team to gel and we have only one more game before a break, I'd field a strong side (if we have one!) but I'd have an eye on the fact that Saturday's game is more important. Some players seem to handle a 3 day break better than other's, resting guys with minor niggles etc.

Re the hock and his mouth. He's trying to blow his own trumpet, which is always a little uncomfortable, but what do you want him to say....'I'm rubbish and the players have no confidence in me'. He wouldn't be saying anything if he wasn't being quizzed about his future after four games... because his boss is a hot head and the fans can't understand why he isn't playing all his serie b 'starlets', and substitutes his star striker who clearly doesn't have 90 mins in him.

I think the list of potential hock replacements must shrink by the day, its one thing working for a nutter with a 6 month job expectancy and another to know the fans will likely be calling for your head inside a month if you're not pulling up trees.

I don't know hockaday, I don't think id want a beer with. him, I'm far from convinced he's the right guy for the job, but I do know he hasn't been given a fair crack. I always want my team to win, but I'd like him to well. I don't like bullying. Let the guy get on with his job, support the team, let cellino who works with him daily and has worked with literally hundreds of coaches decide whether he's up to it.

    Spot on, milkyboy <cheers>

First hour on Saturday showed some good signs. If that midfield can figure out what they are supposed to be doing, it could all click together. It needs to, especially in the chance creation department. Hockaday is trying to play the right way IMO, but changing style takes time.

The chance of us making the final Eire are minimal. But I bet Wigan fans said something similar when they started out on their journey. Look where they got to.
