The Twitter journo still seems the most reliable source: Kristof Terreur @HLNinEngeland · 3h Vadis Odjidja is still thinking about the Norwich proposal. Trained with Club Brugge yesterday, but didn't travel to England yet. That was from this morning. Doesn't rule out his representatives coming earlier though.
From KIO on the Mega Transfer Thread: Just seen this on twitter (google translated) Vadis Odjidja to leave Club Brugge. He just signed his contract with Norwich City. Thanks for everything! # clubbrugge # transfers # vadis
unknown ‏@Norwich12435678 This Belgian man this idiot tells you about. No truth, KCommons high on Norwich list. Only if NRedmond is sold, believe what you like
Kristof Terreur @HLNinEngeland · Vadis Odjidja will travel to England today, according to my colleagues in Belgium. He will undergo his medicals at Norwich. #ncfc
Seems quite odd that an unknown Belgian can attract nearly 90 comments before he's even set foot anywhere near the hallowed turf!! But I'm definitely among those hoping for a reinvestment of some of the Fer transfer fee before the deadline, and he does sound fairly 'like for like' with Leroy
Excellent news. Terreur has been reliable all through this saga, and that it in the Belgian press now is excellent!
Cracking news if this is true. A massive bonus as I have a feeling that this guy, if he settles, is premier league quality.
Anglia news are saying it is for EUR5m, or almost exactly £4m. That sounds like very good business, leaving a couple of million in the bank for January (or possibly to pay Bassong...)
Whopper de dah. Definitely superb news. Seems to be very much Fers equivalent, and we make a few millions into the bargain. Must admit I was not expecting this. Get young Christianson in to help out the defence and we will be rocking.
Yes, I 'take my hat off to' NA and his assistants if this comes off. I MAY even forgive the board for what seemed like an utter shambles only a couple of months ago and the club does indeed appear to be going forward!!
Either a good CB/RB or one of each is probably all we need, though I imagine Adams will be looking to loan these players as cover rather than get in any more permanent replacements. He might even be thinking that the youngsters can fill any minor injury gaps for now.
Can't see us bringing both in. That would give us 3 RBs (Martin, Whittaker, x) and 6 CB's (Martin, Turner, Cuellar, Bennett, Bassong, x). Based on last night, I wouldn't be overly worried to see McFadden on the bench for defensive cover for a couple of games.
We seem to have a lot of options currently and it feels like the squad is buzzing, great to see so many of the youth winners in and around the squad last night as well. That must give them all hope for the future and has to be good for the club as a whole and for NA whose credibility looks to be improving by the day. All good!
