Not exactly the best timing! But stability is necessary.

Removes rumours, not unhappy but hope Hoddle stays. Harry is a good wheeler dealer but needs help on the training side as he doesn't seem to get involved over much.

Instant reaction is horror, but on reflection a clever move - with his contract up at the end of the season he is a dead man walking in terms of respect from the players (c.f. when Ferguson said he would retire a few years back). Presumably we can offer him a contract significantly lower than his current £3m a year, and without the clauses to pay up if he is sacked. He may not accept/ want to retire anyway.

And of course, we can still sack him any time we want.

This thread should be called as its current predecessor " I hope this is a joke". Possibly there is a need for some General Manager position where Arry's experience might be useful, though I doubt we need or can afford it. Someone else should take over team selection, tactics, training, and game management now. Hoddle or Pullis have to be decent candidates.

I remember when we used to be the loyalist fans around, shame that's changed.

Do you mean 'most loyal'? Loyalty is for the club, not the manager. Were you this 'loyal' to Mark Hughes?

True but there should be some element of loyalty due to someone who got us promoted and that element should be more than two games.

Agree, 12 games, like we gave Hughes, who saved us from relegation.

But not if you think that with the resources available he should have got us promoted more easily than he managed, and that in relation to those resources we played poor football in most of our games last season. Far more loyalty and patience has been shown to Arry, than either Colin or Hughes received, yet even under Hughes I remember better performances than we have managed under Arry, and those long distant memories were back in the first month or so after Arry took over.

    Post match comment from Fernandes:

“I’m smiling, we got good players, good manager, good spirit, good coaches and great fans.

“We love the club and bought all the players the manager wanted. Now up to the boys and Harry.”

Surely he didn't say that after the Spurs game?!

According to Sky News. I like the clear placing of responsibility for performance on Redknapp though.

What about if you disagree though? What if you think that the Championship is a very hard league to get out of and we ground our way up? Ask Wolves and Fulham fans how easy it is? Can you imagine the meltdown on here last season if we had lost our first four league games having spent 11m on a new striker? HR has earned that loyalty and patience by getting us up imo.

I agree entirely it is a hard League to get out of but given what he was, Arry made a very hard job of it. We all have different opinions, but the point was about "loyalty". If you think Arry has had more than enough time, and made too many balls up of his teams selections and tactics, it is not being disloyal to the Club, to want the Club to find a new man. And I don't think Arry will cry too much if he were moved out.

Absolutely agreed. And can I just remind everyone again that we are only two games into the season. TWO GAMES FFS!

Let's calm down a bit here. And as for the "uproar" about HR waving at the Spurs fans, what a utter non-story IMHO. If the exact same thing had happened but we'd come away from White Hart Land with a draw or a win I guarantee that absolutely nobody would be talking about it.

Why make that public? if so then FFS have a look at yourselves regarding the timing as to most fans on here its saying like it or lump it. Yep I understand the club has to stick together through thick and thin I agree with that but it's a smack on the lip regarding the timing. A result against Burton would of been the earliest I would of considered
