Now why would he do that then? For starters we have European Football (provided we win on Thursday) and secondly he would have to learn ****ing French

Some of the links don't appear to download but here is the one from the HDM: Are Newcastle out of time for Michael Dawson? Newcastle United have not given up hope of signing Michael Dawson. Although the Tigers insist they have agreed a deal "in principle" to bring the Spurs defender to the KC Stadium, The Times reports the Toon could throw a late spanner in the works. Because I am getting the decided impression that Michael Dawson would only come to us as a last resort. He doesn't seem too keen to me.
It seems he's unwilling to come here unless we have a 20+ goal striker. He's accepting a pay cut to go to Newcastle.

If you look at my quote on post #109 and #111 above you will see that this spelling mistake was corrected.
I think he was implying that Michael Dawson has no idea of all the good work going on here and just thinks "Who? Hull City? f** that".
I seem to remember one of the red tops saying he wanted to stay in London, QPR were one rumoured team but now they've signed Ferdinand and Caulker would imagine that option is now dead in the water, the other was West Ham, but then again they get linked with just about everyone. I also remember that we offered him a 2 year contract and he wanted 3 years? The offer is on the table, clearly Brucey wants him, whether Daws wants us we'll know by this time next week. Personally feel Hudds and Jake will be chirping in his ear so he'll know a fair bit about the playing side of things here.
From SkySports Transfer Centre: Tottenham Hotspur have been tipped to sign Federico Fazio and Sevilla's sporting director claims the Premier League club are prepared to meet the centre-half's release clause. The signing of Fazio would also allow Michael Dawson to finalise his move away from White Hart Lane after Hull City agreed a deal in principle for the former Nottingham Forest defender.
I thought these were all just rumours about why he hadn't signed, these may or may not be true. I think it's more likely that fee's and terms were agreed back in June/July but spurs wouldn't release him untill they had signed a replacement
