Just read his report on BBC website. So he states the players were disappointed because they expected to win. In my book that is the height of arrogance.

It also falls in line with some of the other headlines I have seen "Sunderland hold Utd to a draw". Wtf!

They need to learn that they don't have a god given right to win every game. Welcome to the world of every other team in football you big headed ****ers!

They expected to win despite their 'confidence being totally shattered' in his words.

I think he's getting carried away with his own image and spouting nonsense as well as flinging too much information at the players.

No wonder they look confused.

Apart from anything else he's really really boring in his interviews.

I have doubts that Van Gaal is any better than Moyes, no team fears Man U anymore, there glory days are gone.

He will feel right at home.
I was speaking to a ManU supporter a week ago and he was just the same, they have been successful so long they expect it, they need it, they deserve it.
Didn't seem to understand my opinion that someone else should taste success, everyone deserves some fun and its good for their souls to have a little pain and suffering.

since year 2000, he hasnt lasted/stayed longer than 2 years in any club outside of Holland. At his 2nd stint at barca, he was there for 6 months.

That pain is not winning the title every year.

I remember going to see Sunderland at Old Trafford in the 2nd division ....... they, and the media, have conveniently short memories.

LOL just makes me laugh all of that Shiite that's comes out, we should be feeling hard done bay and depressed because we didn't beat them. Had they of played someone like Chelsea yesterday they would have been annihilated.

Personally I find that Man Utd are Shiite pure comedy like, for so long they ruled but now they are no more than a top 6 side. . . Chuckle, chuckle, chuckled

I cannot understand the penalty situation - he says the Van Persie one (where Vergini clearly played the ball) could have been given???? As for the Ashley **** - unbelievable and delighted the ref didn't buy the little twat's antics

Man Utd fans are hillarious, they are mostly glory hunters. They could be in real trouble because they have easy fixtures at the moment as they improve their fixtures get tougher. If Burnley get something against them at the weekend it will be full on panic. I can see old trafford being quite empty by the end of the season.

...................................................................

A letter from Moyes.

Dear Louis,
I write this letter as a fellow manager and in my experience of managing top clubs in the Premier League for 12years (11 and 9 months to be exact). I write this as your predecessor having gone through the ups and and downs of life at Manchester United.

Firstly, commiserations. I won the season opener last year against pretty much the same Swansea team and it felt pretty good. Your blue eyed boy Robin van Persie got two sumptuous goals that day and got me off to a perfect start. But again, it's never as easy as it seems in the EPL, as I discovered. At least you have an easy schedule for the first few games unlike me. Imagine playing West Brom, Everton, Sunderland and the lot in the first 15 fixtures. Although my team made it very 'tough' for all of them, we lost narrowly. My bad luck.

Fans and critics alike say following me at Manchester United will be easy; I agree. I made the Premier League better. My tenure ensures that whatever you do, you will be termed ‘better than his predecessor’. A courtesy I was not afforded. You’re welcome. I did not like how teams feared coming to Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson. So I did my best to change that and make United a more hospitable host. Teams liked coming to Old Trafford under my reign. For me, it was all about building good relations with the fans. But unfortunately, I built relations with rival fans rather than my own. My bad luck again.

I broke a lot of records in my short tenure. The record for handing many a top side victory at Old Trafford after generations. Sides like Everton, Newcastle, West Brom. The record for the lowest league points, lowest league position etc. I was responsible for stopping the one club dominance of the league by Manchester United and rival fans still respect me for that. Please try and follow in my footsteps and make it as difficult for opponents as possible.

Coming to your reign now. From my experience of managing top clubs, I want to give you some pointers or two. I believe I did you and Manchester United a great favour by bringing in Marouane Fellaini. Do play him week-in week-out. Get the defenders and midfielders to hoof up long balls onto his wig head, he will surely score. It may not be pretty, but hey, results over aesthetics, right? Also, do continue to play my crown jewels Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck. They are the symbols of the Moyes philosophy, which is to run all day long and make it tough for opponents. Do not worry, wins will follow. Remember that boy Adnan Januzaj? He symbolises the only thing everything I did right at United. Great talent.

Do not forget Shinji Kagawa. Slippery little lad, sits on the bench the whole time and goes unnoticed. Took me two months to notice him and another two to know that he plays as number 10. Do not forget to play him once in a while, albeit on the left. He can win games on his own at number 10, we don’t want that, do we?
One thing that is available in abundance at Manchester United is patience. No matter how badly you do, they will keep saying “let's give him some more time”. That patience kept me going during my time; use it well. I did you another great favour by eliminating the whole Champions League diversion. You’re welcome. Again.
All the very best. Hope to see you in the same job come next August.
Regards, sympathies and empathies,

David Moyes

P.S.: This isn’t me, I’m busy rejecting new job offers. You have my full support!

I'm not getting into this penalty ****e again, I'm really not interested in dragging out what might have been. But... arrogant? Wasn't it blatantly obvious he was arrogant way before he come to United? Why would he change now he's at United?

The press are brilliant in this country of conjuring up a ****-storm out of nothing, people are happy to jump on the bandwagon so long as it doesn't effect themselves. You lot were batting away everybody at this stage last season giving it "Di Canio is a fascist, he's lost the plot". As far as I'm concerned the media are vermin, they can write what they want about United because we've heard it all before.

Of course our players expected to win, that's not arrogance, that's the mentality of our team and the way United players are trained. I have no problem with Van Gaal saying we are disappointed not to win that game, we might be in a spot of bother and in for another poor season but I'd be ****ing pissed at LVG if he turned round after the match and said it was a good point for us that we weren't expecting to get.

What do you make of Di Maria mate? Rate him on form as much as I rate Ozil on form, massively. Reckon a similar price would have been a fair deal.

Is Van Gaal going to play him as a wing back? That seems ****ing mental to me.

Absolutely world class, far better than Mesut Ozil in my opinion, he always puts a shift in which you can't say for Ozil. The price is standard transfer window 2014 crap mate, every European team knows Sky have just dished us stupid money so the whole market is inflated, it will only get worse as the TV money increases. Plus RM know we've just annihilated them with their own shirt sponsor, we will be paid probably £80m more than them per season by adidas, they're not stupid and they know we're desperate.

I can't see Di Maria even signing mate if LVG is attempting to play him as a wing back, it doesn't make sense to me. I can see him being used in a central position, probably at the expense of Juan Mata who by all accounts should be on the bench anyway.

I'm a massive fan of Di maria, he looked outstanding at the WC, and to me, Messi looked better because of him. He will be a very good player in the EPL, although will be interesting to see how he does against the 'less technical' sides like Stoke, Palace and QPR, who rely more on strength and physicality.

No idea why he LVG doesnt play Kagawa, he is a very good player. Wonder if he will flog him to us for cheap?

You can't be signing him as a number 8/10 surely? You've got about 15. Wasn't having a pop at Di Maria, think I just rate Ozil higher than you do which is fair enough. DM does have consistency on his side where Ozil doesn't.

It's starting to look like Chelsea had you trousers down with the Mata deal, he looks like he's maybe worth half of what you paid for him now. One calamity after another for United in the transfer market, the walking afro then him. I think Blind, Hummels and Vidal would do immeasurable amounts for your side, hoping to see them and another defender come in.

It's bizarre but I reckon you need about 6 quality players in to even challenge for the title. Will be interesting to see if this dip is part of Ferguson's legacy.

Not questioning Di Maria's talent, just the fact that United don't play with wingers/wide forwards. Would be like us signing a sweeper.

Kagawa would go straight back to Dortmund mate.
