I don't understand a word of Finnish commentary, but in the warm up to the Manc game his name was mentioned....
No, but i will say this out of the 3 mentioned, Kalou, Wellbeck and Boringi, it would be Kalou is my first choice of the 3.
Gus Poyet to investigate internal leak of information at Sunderland after interest in Saloman Kalou is made public http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...eak-information-Sunderland.html#ixzz3BP7Vhj5Z
But it IS always the player or agent, that's how it works, they want to raise interest and have a better bargaining position. It's a clear admission of interest though, and I'm happy about that. Be a great addition.
I would be over the moon if we got Kalou. Then if we sign a CB, LB & get Wickham to sign a new deal IMO it will be a great transfer window.
Published On: Mon, Aug 25th, 2014 .Headlines / English Premier League / Ligue 1 / Lille / Sunderland | By Andrew Sinclair Sunderland in talks with Arsenal target TAGS LilleSalomon KalouSunderland KalouSunderland held positive talks over the weekend with Lille striker Salomon Kalou, who had been an Arsenal target earlier in the window, according to the Daily Express. The former Chelsea man was also linked with moves to both Everton and Liverpool earlier in the window, but it would appear that the Ivorian international is keen on a move to the Stadium of Light before the transfer window closes. According to the paper, the clubs held talks over the weekend and have reportedly agreed in principle a deal for the striker, with a fee of £4 million swirling around regarding a potential move to Sunderland. A selling club Lille are one of many ‘selling club’s ‘ in French football, with the club accustomed to signing relatively unknown players for a small amount and then selling them on for more in a few years time and Kalou could be next. Although a well known player when he joined the club on a free transfer, he rediscovered himself in the French league, scoring 30 in 66 games over the last two seasons. A sale of £4 million would be a substantial profit for the club, and with said funds they would be able to buy a replacement for the Ivorian, who they are keen to sell because of the fee it could generate. Premier League experience Kalou has six seasons of Premier League experience from when he was with Chelsea, scoring 60 times and assisting a further 44 goals in the Premier League, which would provide Sunderland with an experienced goalscorer for the season ahead. With Sunderland struggling to complete a deal for last season’s loan star Fabio Borini, the Black Cats have turned to the Ivorian as a cheaper and arguably better alternative, and are reportedly close to securing the 29-year-old’s signature. He can play both as a winger and upfront, and would offer Sunderland boss Gus Poyet some much needed attacking versatility for the upcoming games, and could potentially facilitate the sale of an attacking player from Sunderland.
If we can get wickham signed up id sell Fletcher. He's got so bad I genuinely think Danny Graham couldn't do a worse job.
Chris Young ‏@YoungSunEcho 23m No Salomon Kalou for Lille tonight. That'll send the rumour mill into overdrive #safc
