After attending a get together at friends house last night, and after consuming too much red wine, it seems the wife and I slept thru a pretty big earthquake. Woke almost everyone else up. Centered in Napa Valley.

No loss of life, but lots of good wine destroyed.

Is that in reference to the party or the earthquake?

Napa valley sounds great. Checked out possibly a cycling holiday around that area, would you recommend it or is there anywhere close better?

    Glad you are sound mate.

Amazing city, pretty frequently gets quakes though don't it? Not always this size of course.

It would be a great place for a cycling holiday. Sonoma county is next door and my personal favorite. You could use the town of Healdsburg as your base. Russian River goes thru the town and all the way to the coast. Can't go wrong either way.

It does. The scary part is this was considered a pre-quake. Lots of pressure has built up in these faults. The scientists are saying chances of a big one soon are very high. Been thru the real bad one in '89, and that wasn't fun. So many people in the Bay Area now, it could be really destructive.
