Just been watching videos of jordan rhodes on youtube and I can't help but liken him to alan shearer, I think he would be a massive buy for us and hopefully we get him signed up this week.
Don't get me wrong, Rhodes is a good goalscorer but unproven at Premier League level. Shearer scored more PL goals than anyone else, which is a pretty ****ing monumental achievement when you look at the players who have graced the competition over the years. The only thing that Rhodes and Shearer have in common so far is the Blackburn shirt. If McCormack, Rhodes and Long are worth £11-12 million the mind boggles at how much Shearer would command if he were playing today.
there is some right negativity on here, he looks a decent proposition and I actually said he is a similar type of player, knows where the goal is, I didnt mean he is alan shearer, cheer up!
