I can`t wait - watching Sky, then Jeff Stelling says `there`s been a goal down at StMary`s, but which way has it gone` - heart stops, then the picture cuts to John Salako. Before he can speak, Saints fans celebrating in the background give the answer.
Ah Teletext. Ceefax in particular. It was during my time in retail that I remembered all the important [to me] Ceefax page numbers. We'd have one section of TVs relaying the football scores, as they happened. Brought the people in, of course. I even ended up buying a TV paying particular attention to its teletext performance. It was a Phillips, which had enhanced fastext performance and could store 100 pages in memory [wow, the technology..!]. This meant I could flip to a page immediately. It was excellent for football scores. Bloody hell, I should be off Rambling. See you Pepys. COYS.
Going to the game today in my French Schneiderlin shirt, I expect I'll be the only one wearing it so if you see me you can put a face to a name!
Just back from camping trip in a field in Sussex, with no signal! (Missed all the stuff on the other thread too) Saints to win 2 nil. Pelle and Long to score. Ps. I don't ever want to camp again!

Camping is a bit like supporting Saints. Seemed like a good idea at the time or given no choice by family. Despite the discomfort the occasional moments of pleasure bring you back for more, once the pain fades.
