I don't have time to do a full match thread, but I wanted to get this started. Please merge this into a proper match thread if the usual artists stand one up.

Tomorrow ... more of the same please.

Nonetheless it's going to be a challenge .... if only because - a) Burnley must look at us and see an opportunity (however daft the notion) to earn a point; b) will setup accordingly and if they have it right will cause us no end of frustration; c) we will need to be patient, disciplined and clever to break them down and score. Our best scenario is that Burnley have the courage of their convictions and come to play to win .... please, oh please!

Not to be disrespectful to Burnley, but if we play to our capability we should win. I can't predict the score ... one more than them will do.

I am looking forward to perhaps seeing Montero start the game in preference to Dyer, otherwise I expect to see the same starting XI as United. Question: did Tiendalli do enough to start instead of Taylor.

    DISCUSS ..... all-for-one & one-for-all.

If we find somewhere to fit 'discuss' into it Yankee, it's a beautiful OP <whistle>;)

I'm expecting it to be tight fir 30 minutes or so and then our class should come through. If we play to our potential I can see us winning 3-0.

Same starting line up and formation as last week, I would say.

In most respects this game will be tougher than the united match because this time the pressure is on us to perform in front of our fans, Just like united were expected to win then we are in the same boat. Im sure monk will make that point at every training session and our players will play the game as if we are playing one of the big sides. I think if we keep our shape and composure then we can come away with another 3 points....

Edited - just for you Valley.

I have no idea who Burnley are as a club, a squad, or team in terms of quality and what they did last season other than get promoted - sorry for my ignorance, but since we've been up here I don't worry about other leagues.

I was optimistic last week. I'm optimistic this week. I didn't see anything in their game against Chelsea to indicate that Burnley pose much of a threat (that's probably jinxed the whole thing). The experts' disparagement of United last week notwithstanding, United could only do what we allowed them to do and we did a pretty good job of containing them (the Jan kid excepted until Tiendalli came on) in most areas of the game. Our goals came out of nothing and were clinical finishes of the chances we were afforded. We found a way to craft an away win and I think this speaks louder about the kind of team we are versus how bad United supposedly were.

Win and look good and it might just help persuade a target or two to join.

Think this will be a tough game, but if we want to do anything rthis year these are the games we need to win. Last weeks result will mean nothing if we dont get something tomorrow. All the pundits on the radio are expecting burnley to get a point. Lets prove them wrong. 2-1 Swans

I wouldnt be surprised if Montero started tomorrow. I expect Burnley to set themselves up for a point so we need to keep calm, focused and the chances will come. This is being tipped as the possible shock of the weekend so lets prove them wrong!

Burnley are a decent side but despite the fact they only shipped 30 odd goals last season (the best in the Championship) we should have way too much quality for them. 4-0.

I always keep harping back to it but we have the potential and attitude to play like we did against west brom and blow them away in the first half. Lets make a show and really go at them we have the players to do this and if we are to go back to our way of playing then lets make a show today. Spookily I think it will be the same scoreline 3.1 to us

I thought their defence looked ponderous imo ,so if we can get in behind them which looks like thats what Montero likes to do rather than cutting inside and with Wayne on the other side both supplying Bony (theres a nice understanding building there ) and with Gyfi theres plenty of goal scorers in the side .No disrespect to Burnley but I agree we should be too strong for them .If Ash can put in shift like last week both in his own performance and organising then I can only see a positive result for us .

I think Burnley could have done more in the Transfer market. As it stands, we have a stunning opportunity to get another three points today. I can't see it being a walkover, mind you! Still, I'm going 3-0.

(And my wife has just chipped in with 2-1. She reckons we could be susceptible to an early goal.)

2-0 to the Swans. I think Burnley will put up a solid fight, but we'll win the game in the last 15-20 minutes.

Yea, montero should start imo. What about Bafe?
Not sure who for...Possibly, instead of dyer/montero, you have Bafe

    Fab
    Rangel, Williams, Amat, Taylor
    Shelvey, Ki,
    Bafe, Gylfi, Routledge
    Bony

Apparently Dwight has been making a claim, so that could be interesting. I recon we need a new RB, and I would love to see Bartley get some game time. but Amat deserves to start

Not sure where Gomis fits into our side Rhys. He'll be number one if Bony goes but I'm unclear where we can get the best of him if Bony stays. When he came on v Man U he looked class.
