Should all ****ing die the animals. Hope they all ****ing die the ****s. Think it's acceptable to throw glasses and bricks at women and children and batter anpregnant women with batons? Die.
police dogs have bit a couple of us too bunch of f**king ****s ain't heard anything from a couple of mates who went, hope they ain't arrested or Injured, and hope the city fans who are will be okay
Sad to hear about this, hope all your lads & lasses are alright. You'll get the blame, cos you're English, we always get the blame.
It looks like the Belgian plod escorted our fans right past the De Meirennest pub, the same pub they warned us to avoid beforehand...
I was in there before the match and the Belgian fans were. fantastic. The trouble was caused by a few City fans before the match and a few Belgian fans after the match. The police seemed about 40 years behind the times.
The police had to lock out the 20-some (Dutch) d*ckheads at the pub, and letting HC-fans leaving the ground safely. Just Google : NAC Lokeren and you know that his lot always comes around causing some trouble
Water cannons pointing towards us, more riot and mounted police than I've seen at a football ground for years. Held back for an age and even saw elderly City supporters with walking sticks having to stand for ages. Marched past the pub and held there as bottles were thrown at us. A disgrace.
No, because it's bollocks. We were covered in glass en route to the game and it was an entirely unprovoked attack.
That's true had we been told we would be held back (like we were in trencin) much of the frustration could have been avoided. However to emerge from the ground to be confronted by a line of robo cops and a water cannon was sheer madness but what was worse was the police effectively marched us into an ambush outside the pub. The lokeren fans we met after for a 'lively' drinking session told us that the water cannon is wheeled every time an away team brings more than 50 supporters. Thankfully not more injured or hurt shame on the Belgian police. On a lighter note I'm not sure songs about 10 German bombers or where were you in World War Two are strictly relevant to the 'plucky little Belgians ' they were on our side in the war, and for the daily mail foaming at the mouth right wing brigade our side were the ones that won .
On a slightly different topic, the policewoman on the horse third from left in the market place was quite hot. And I was quite impressed with Gent, we spent a few hours walking round the old town(walked the length of the river from Sint Pieters to the castle), very civilised.
