Now that I've bought my ticket I find myself pondering on the starting line up. I reckon Bobby Z will lead the line with opportunities to shine for SWP and Adel. Hopefully a few youngsters like Donaldson, Sucky and Harriman too. All that and Brian Murphy in goal. Can't wait
Was it Swindon last year for our annual early exit? I'll be surprised if we field a strong team, expect similar line-up to the Irish tour...
I misread the OP and thought it was a thread about Joey's Summer hols. I think, if we keep hold of everyone and maybe get 1-2 more in then even the reserves should look reasonable. Being a fan since the 90s, I just dream about seeing a cup run (thankfully the play-offs were only two rounds otherwise we'd be doomed there). I think we had an OK FA cup run with our strong team in the original Premier League but even that memory is tinged with sepia and has a silent movie piano soundtrack.
I can't remember getting beyond the fifth round (Wimbledon away 2-1 defeat) and that must have been when I was about six. I'm ****ing 24 now!
What chance of Vargas and Isla making their debuts at Burton. Vargas is quoted as saying "since I was 12 I dreamt of playing alongside SWP"
This will actually be a rock hard fixture. They've won 4 in a row, and they're 2nd in league2. Plus they've got Newport at the weekend, who've lost all their games this season- so expect it to become 5 in a row.
Remember it well. Denis Irwin scored a free kick for them. Gallen went through and beat Schmichael first half but he was flagged off. COLIN practically admitted throwing one of our games in the L Cup and Harry's in the same mould. Burton should win comfortably.
We definitely need to take it seriously or we'll be on the end of yet another early round departure... Harry may well include some who haven't been included thus far but imo he needs to change no more than 2 or 3... There is no reason why we shouldn't progress in this competition if he picks a strong side.
