And well done to Shiny, who saw this coming ages ago.

We now have a Championship standard strike force and midfield. Our defence has improved enormously, thanks mainly to the evolution of Flint (and an improved El Abd) that looks likely to keep Osbourne on the bench for a while.
If Cotts can find another goalkeeper from somewhere we will be set up for the season

100% agree,a goalkeeper is a must, once that has been rectified we should be looking at top spot come the end as i predicted.

we have had so much junk over the last four years,it is nice to be confident about our club once again:smiley-finger007::smiley-finger007::smiley-finger007:

Well looking at his goalscoring he certainly wont be sitting on the bench, reminds me of Nicky Maynard.

Direct from the millers site-

Kieran joins Bristol City
Posted: Thu 21 Aug 2014

Kieran Agard joins Bristol City....
Rotherham United can confirm that Kieran Agard has joined Bristol City for an undisclosed fee.

The Millers had previously rejected a number of bids from clubs in the Championship and League One for the forward, but yesterday evening an offer from Bristol City matched the club’s valuation and the bid was accepted.

Previous to any offers from other clubs the Millers had made several attempts to negotiate a new contract with Kieran and his representatives, but once it was clear that the forward wanted to leave the club reluctantly accepted an offer from the League One club.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank Kieran for his efforts over a very successful period in the club’s history and we wish him every success for the future.

Didn't we pinch a certain Mr. Goater from the Millers many moons ago??...and he worked out pretty darn good for us! I was living in Bermuda at the time and my Mum used to send me copies of the BEP reports which I would exchange for Heinekens at his uncle's bar in Hamilton.....way before this internet thing!

Welcome Kieran.

Doesn't remind me of Maynard at all, Maynard more often than not made his own goals.....I'd say he's a goal poacher, (Lineker) not many from outside the box.
In my opinion we need to have him in the box, nowhere else. Front man.

But the major question for me is why we need two players who do the same job.
You wouldn't play them together - more like Wilbs and either or…
I am a little confused, and I hope the plan is clear and doesn't involve Sammy leaving us (which we are assured IS NOT the case).
Maybe there is more to Agard than just finishing ability. Someone said he has pace to burn - perhaps that will be utilised in a role that lets us play on the break, German stylee… I must admit, Freeman, Baldock and Agard on the break is a mouthwatering proposition

Could it be he is actually here for football reasons
After all, he is a footballer
Not a banker
(at least we hope not)

Which football reasons are those?

We know Steve Cotterill can talk. Hope it wasn't a case of "Europe in five years" like that mental reform group years back, or praps "Cotts" got the hunting knife out.
