I am thinking about applying to go in the ballot for next years Ride London.

Pros - I could raise a shed load of money for charity and it would be an amazing experience.

    Cons - I might die cos it's 100 miles. <yikes>

    Thoughts?

Go for it Charlie, I did 88 miles yesterday, which with the wind I wish I never started. I was riding alone, with others 100 miles will be a piece of piss.

EDIT if you like I will go into the ballot with you.

They trim it anyway to bail out the shandy drinking southerners.

Gerrit booked. You'll do it no bother. <ok>

Charlie, put your name down if you want to do it. What's the the worry ? If when the time comes, you don't feel up to it, then i can give you my word, that Stan will do it in your place.

If he won't....well i'll do a sponsored root canal, or something. Go Charlie....Go Charlie !!!!

I have just done my ballot entry online. No going back now.

Kempy I can't put my name forward then back out cos I don't feel like it. Not my style. But maybe you should do that rootcanalathon anyway. I'd sponsor you.

As long as you'll be able to sit down then, do it! Flat as a witches tit there, it'll be a breeze for you!

You've got to do something different to attract sponsors these days. Could you not get them to do the canal from below the tooth?

For those that may be interested I have been offered a place in the 2015 Ride London event. This is with a charity that has emailed me offering me the place with them via the ballot. It's a cancer charity and I have to raise a certain amount of money but I think this means I am gonna have to do it I guess. <yikes>

Im going to register, does it have to be on a road bike? I have a few bikes at the moment, built by myself from scratch, would that be okay? Id be up with riding in a Hull City shirt too!

Edit: Registered. I'll do it on a Penny Farthing. Fingers crossed I get through!
