Something about our story must be good for him to want to leave a Championship side for a League one side and spurn offers from at least one other big club. If this guy delivers goals like he did last year then we are looking strong up front. Hope that Sam stays as well but we have to be realistic when he's got less than a year to run. Maybe a promotion push and a nice new stadium will be enough? Can't understand why everyone is bashing Leeds though?
Finally getting Agard is great news. If SC can get another keeper in before the transfer window closes (or soon after as a long loan), there should be enough depth and balance in the squad to make a real challenge this season.

Just minutes after I posted my thread about Balotelli I read the news about Agard and my faith is restored. Surely someone has to go and I would hope it is JET because although he is capable of scoring some brilliant goals I just don't think his attitude is on the right wavelength with what we need. Maybe, just maybe, the arrival of Agard will kick him back in to life to keep his job but I have my doubts. All this goal scoring prowess is all very well and good but the back line of defence still gives me the willies especially after listening to the game last Saturday. Rabbits in the headlights is a term that comes to mind when I hear the commentators talking about City's defending. Rochdale will be the proof that we are back in the ascendancy and 3 points will suit our cause very nicely, so just go out and get the job done lads.

I keep asking myself WHY COME TO CITY? Salary? Unlikely that with our financial losses over the past five years and the SCMP rules, that we are paying him silly money. And probably less than Leeds were offering? Relationship at Rotherham with Evans gone sour? Very likely. Does not see Rotherham doing anything this season except being embroiled in a relegation battle? Probably. Sees us as a club going places and wants to be part of it? Possibly. Has a partner who comes from Yeovil area who is unhappy being too far away from family?
