Any inside information on the Modou Barrow situation? I've heard rumours we've signed him but he's being loaned back to Ostersunds till Jan?
I'd say you're better informed then the majority on here , the last I heard he was travelling here but then zilch .
Done deal for £1 Million, though there is very little info other than whats on Twitter!……………… Link: http://allafrica.com/stories/201408011300.html
These screenshots were taken by me just now. So these were tweeted 18 hours ago. It certainly looks like something has happened! The trial sounds like a good option. As does the loan back until January.
A level headed and respectful piece from Gambia. http://observer.gm/africa/gambia/article/barrow-to-complete-d125m-swansea-move-thursday? Could this be the backup player for Gomis when Bony goes? (Roswell is true and none has ever walked on the moon.)
Gambia: Barrow to Complete Swansea Move Thursday Modou Barrow could have his move to the English Premier League Swansea City completed at least by Thursday, Foroya Sport can report. The 21-year-old has been on the radar of an array of clubs namely; Bolton, Celtic, Middlesbrough and Everton but Swansea could finally put to rest the speculations surrounding the player all season with the Swans set to wrap up their pursue of the Gambian. Swansea City have reached consensus with Barrow's Swedish second tier club Ostersunds for the forward to move to Wales. The fee though undisclosed, is believed to be worth around 1.5 millions pounds and could be completed Thursday when the left-footer passes his medical. He flew to Wales reportedly last week to take a tour of the club facilities ahead of finalizing his transfer. He's however back in Scandinavia and is in the fold to make his final appearance for his Swedish club against Sirius as fans plan a big farewell for the attacker in appreciation of his invaluable contribution to the club's chase for promotion this season. Modou, who left top flight club Norkopping on a controversial note last summer, becomes the first player in Swedish football history to have made the jump from second tier football to one of the best leagues in Europe -the English premier League.
Interesting that the article above says he's a left footer....we needed a genuine left footed winger IMO. Funny, I didn't get that from the you tube videos at all...played mostly on the right wing and sometimes up front. He seems to be pretty useful with his right foot too. Got a good feeling about this kid.
Yes, me too, Terror. You don't have all those clubs interested in you if you're pants. Well, not usually. The most expensive ever Gambian footballer, apparently. Could be a cracking deal imo - let's hope he's not another Donnelly.
