Has signed a new two year contract with an option for a third. Not the act of a player who has no confidence in the happenings at our club. Bennett R and Wes have just recently signed as well. It seems our manager is more respected by the playing staff than by a small section of our fans. Thanks Tina. And I mean that in the best possible way.
Very happy about this. He's a rock at the back. He never lets a man get's past him, he'll take ball or player, usually both. A really strong CB and I hope Bennett gets plenty of time alongside him as he'll be a great influence.
The sooner we move Bassong & Bechio on the better. I like Adams philosphy which seems to be 1) You either want to be a city player or not. If not then I'll get rid of you. 2) If you are a city player you have to be willing to work your balls off and have a positive attitude. 3) If you have a poor attitude, don't want to work and we can't get rid of you. I'll keep you as far away from the 1st team as possible, so you don't disrupt the team spirit.
Meanwhile he sits on his arse and collects his wages! Surely we could put him to work in some way? I'd like to see him come out with a fork at half time and work on the pitch
Potentially yes but I would argue Turner outperformed him for the majority of the time they played together. Even in Bassong's player of the year season I thought Turner was better in the second half of the season.
Re Bassong, I wondered if it might be related to depression. It looks like a recurring problem and he seems to be fragile mentally. Complete shot in the dark on my part. I have absolutely no evidence to support this. Pure feeling.
