As the song goes well my good friend Whitejock wrote yesterday that Phil Hay had tweeted that representatives on Agard had resumed negotiation with MC about signing Agard .Presumably Agard has had a change of heart or has been badly advised and negotiations have reopened .This would be very possible as Agard was completely absent from the Rotherham team yesterday so you my friends have been warned developments today if the story is right! Yesterday was a SHAMBLES FROM what I've read we only had 4 shots all night listening to Hock he said we had no width and no pace well I have been saying this till the cows come home Well the width could come from Agard and Antenucci they would give the side more balance another thing I preach about and the guile in midfield would come hopefully from Adryan When these signins are inplace we will then be able to judge wether or no we have a decent coach until then I will reserve my judgement but on the evidence I would bet he will be history before the end of Sept latest MIKE
I am wondering if any of the signings are, is it the players we are bringing in or the tactics and coach. What coach would we attract if Hockaday went. I have a feeling we might get through a few before Cellino realises it doesn't work the same here and he will need to step back just a little. I really would love to know if Cellino has any input on the formation as has been suggested in the past
Berardi suspended, Doukara injured, Ben Z by all accounts awful in training, Ajose clearly hasn't got it, I hope he improves, Bianchi, Sharp, Silvestre, Cooper and Ajose all featured what would you have changed? Apart from maybe Bellusci we started with the best 11 we probably had available. Many got their wish Smith and Sharp up front..
But we played to smiths failings and not his strengths. He had zero service, and any passes came his way after 10 minutes fecking about in midfield. The same thing I moaned about on Saturday.
Not arguing about that mate, just stating who would anyone have replaced on the pitch? We had the best starting 11 that were available, I see lots of blame being placed on the old guard, did Sharp, Bianchi, Cooper and Ajose when he came on stand out from the rest? As fans we are scratching and searching for answers, we don't want our dreams to be smashed, we want to point blame and we want to believe a fix is the next player in. We probably need to wake up.
I agree withRistac on this but surely sending a team out at home and not really creating a chance does not bode well either for the teamor coach!
Signing another lower league player won't really make any difference. To get promoted you need a spine of premiership quality players. This scrabbling around for Serie B and League 1 dross is simply to replace players with those on lower wages. It will be a season of perpetually looking over our shoulders at the trap door.
I was building my hopes up with some of these signings, Bellusci might be promising but I have to agree, it is starting to look like an excercise of who he can get in on the cheap
Worst case scenario is we end up with a Nessi, Wonaldinho, Sonaldo, Bepe, Van Bistelroy, Sergio Amero, Bele, Nullet, Bineker, Guarez, Hunt and Morison Sad thing is nilwall would want to buy half of them
What do you base that on ristac, maybe sharp isn't as good as McCormack, but all the others that have played I believe to be better than the ones they have replaced. The problems been with last seasons players Austin,Hunt,Murphy,Tonge.
What am I basing what on? My comment that with Cellino it is starting to look like a case of who he can get on the cheap?? I wouldn't have thought that needed much explaining to be honest with you mate. If you mean you believe the players we are bringing in are better than last seasons I have gone through my opinions on it all on todays match day thread page 3
So buying players up to a million or so is cheap and they're no good. They had 1 very bad half against Brighton so they are all crap. When Man city rebuilt they're team it took 12 months to fully play as a team.McCormack took 3 seasons to hit top form,Mad Max took 2 seasons.
We had two bad half's against Brighton we were lucky against Boro and completely outplayed by Millwall, it really is no use us two discussing the team performance and squad as we are miles apart in how we see things. Dig out what Chippy, The Don and a whole host of others are saying when they have been there watching us, apart from your view I do not see any other positive ones on how well we played. As for a million or so I have no idea what we have paid for players, they won't have cost us much but my comment on the cheap is aimed at their wage demands. Cellino is going from talks with one player to another, hopping around them trying to find the ones who are not expecting too much, I am not saying that is a bad thing but it doesn't mean it is good either. Personally I would prefer less players of better quality
