I much prefer the toned-down pre-mach announcements. Big Dave has quietened down his dramatic delivery, they don't show the film of our greatest goals, and we don't have the shooting practise in front of the North Stand.Allows the fans to generate a much better atmosphere.

    Totally agree FHB.

Not just Big Dave, but also the shrieking ghetto music blasting through the 1980s tannoy. The most unbearable noise since my ex mother in law used to pay a visit.

Bring back Into The Valley is my only request.

And get rid of the bourgeois Rotisserie Chickens.

Yep you did. Like to mix it up now and then.

You have to remember there are many people in the stadium so I try as much as I can to cater for as many as possible, can't please all but I try.

Fair enough, I wasn't complaining as it was the sound of my childhood! Just didn't expect it really.

Fun to watch, yes, but you can't beat the real thing, which is the atmosphere generated by the fans. Just let them get on with it. Big Dave was a bit Shakespearean recently. It's ironic but the fans make more noise and get behind the boys when they're not being told to.

You've always done a top job, Paul. I'm definitely not envious iof selecting music for 16k <ok>

It's hard enough to cater for a house party..

    Thanks all.

It is not an easy job I give you that and I hate it when I make a mistake or choose something that I then decide does not work, not that it happens too often. Everyone always has an opinion which they they are entitled too. With that many in the stadium so many different tastes it's something you cannot get away from.

I love to throw a cheesy track in there at half-time. Against Derby it was S Club 7 vs Michael Jackson bootleg, at the Wigan game I slipped in some McFly which no one commented on to my surprise. So keep an ear out for what could be next, some Blue perhaps or FIVE. You just don't know!!

Being a big music fan really helps, I get sent new tracks by a music promoter for stadiums and sit listening to music quite often and some of it poor. I do buy a lot of music myself so will often take that with me on a hard drive, as my music taste is eclectic I feel I'm a good person to have doing the job. Unless the time comes when something thinks I'm not I suppose.

Though what is nice is when big Dave Lockwood tells me I'm the best he has worked with and some fans have gone home or asked me what song it is I played. All part of the service. We update twitter on Saturday games via Dave's son so people can know without asking me as I often forget what I play.

I do listen to what people suggest, if I have not heard it before I will Spotify or Youtube a track to decide whether it's good fit. I never promise I'll play something and as can't promise they will be in the stadium at the time.

Captain I know you weren't complaining maybe my post came across wrong.

What a great start to the season and long may it continue!
