Again that is a pretty good attendance for an evening game. Above us lie Morcambe Burton and the Shrews. It's looking rather good isn't it.

Have they named any of the trialists, 3rd eye. Wonder what positions he is looking to possibly strenghten ?
Chorley did very well last night. He has played solidly (and in no way deserving of the criticism he has been getting) in both games we put 3 at the back. For once in a very long time, we appear to have strength in depth. We are playing football and not hoof ball and I am actually starting to feel confident about this year. As long as we can keep hold of Andy Awford (11 games, 0 losses) then we can keep pushing.
100% agree Possum. Having a number of lad who "get" the whole Pompey thing also helps. Jed Wallace for example gets it, Holmes gets it, Dunne and Hollands get it too.....the whole squad understand what this club means not just to the fans, but to the city. As i say, not counting chickens and would be happy with mid table stability (not a relegation fight like last year) but we have to start believing we can do it now. Holmes was on the radio before the game saying how the team all think they can win it and go up - and you know what, I think with this belief and the strength in depth we have, that this team would also do well in League 1 too.....Only time will tell though!
