On OWS job for the First Team Kit Coordinator. Anybody interested? One of the duties is * Ensuring stock levels are monitored and working alongside with the Club’s retail department to ensure best practises; I would have added "must be able to spell"!!
Cleaning boots? Yeah, a real dream job. The other bits might be exciting though. Also doesn't say how much it pays, guessing not much.
"Applications are being invited by the submission of a current CV, together with current remuneration..." The lower figure you state the more likely you'll get the job or as you say "not much."
I've got 8 years retail experience and 15+ years of using washing machines so I'm probably overqualified for assistant kit man and shop boy. The coordination part worries me though, I think they're after a woman for it as they spend much more time making sure their outfits all go together nicely without any clashes. (some players' boots are going to be getting changed on them)
And he has retail experience and time on his hands. Plus he'd be able to advise Brucie and Ehab on how to run the club.
Why are you guessing it doesn't pay much ? I'll offer this little nugget of advice for nowt. I have just been in Princes Quay shopping centre. Advertised as 'East Yorkshire's Premier Shopping Centre' It is nothing of the sort. The place was deserted and I spent over an hour sat in there watching the footflow, there is none. I'd say it isn't even 50% let, the ground floor has three shop's open. Even the centre's information kiosk/shop is closed. Hull City AFC's official club shop, the only Premier League Football Club in the county of Yorkshire should not be tucked away on the third floor, amongst all the empty shops. The place is dying on it's feet and we should not be dying with it. The few people venturing up to the 3rd floor, and there is nothing impulsive about popping into the shop because it is up three separate elevators, were all going to the City shop. It is the only 'draw' in there, every other shop can be found on any High Street. There is nothing in the entrance, at street level, to even say we have a shop in there. Hull City's club shop should be on the ground floor and right in the middle of St Stephens Shopping Centre or on Bond Street/Ferensway Corner facing St Stephens.
I'm not wanting to put words in his mouth but I assumed the same after basing it on the fact all the non-playing or backroom jobs at the club pay terribley.
The old Argos store on Ferensway would be ideal, a decent size in the centre of the city and something to greet those arriving by train.
