Link? Surely it's a discussion involving size, colour, format etc. With the club ultimately controlling it.
So your telling me that if an astronomical some of money was put on the table for a shirt sponsorship and it was the wrong colour you would turn it down if you owned the club.
I would retain the right to veto any aspect of a sponsor's submitted design which I felt eroded the strength of my brand or identity. (Does Everton's strip have any red sponsor detail on it etc)

It's not a case of 'dictating'. 'Amicable discussions' 'managing the relationship' and so forth, but ultimately vetoing what we don't like.
Well that might have happened with the other two shirts and this is the compromise. I would personally liked to have seen an all black sponsor.all white kit with Amber ring round the collar
All this talk of asking them to change their logo is absolutely f**ing ridiculous. It's their logo - you cannot force them to change it. Have you any idea how much work goes into brand protection? You cannot in a million years take a company's money and then have any say whatsoever in how their logo looks, it's just f**ing preposterous. I know some company (Thomson?) did this Spurs but that was red and therefore an Arsenal thing and the company offered. We havent got a historical rival that plays in red and would annoy us all.
I don't believe we'd be having this discussion if we were back struggling in the bottom division. We'd just be glad of any income.
