The Man U defence is the bit that makes me laugh. It was **** last year. Their 2 best defenders left and weren't replaced. People expect them to be better because it's a new manager. Man U have spent plenty to try to keep up though. Since summer 2011 when they signed 3 there's only been 1 transfer window where they haven't signed a £15M+ player, and in 3 of the last 4 they've spent £24M+ on a single player.
Their midfield isn't really anything to shout about either, for a supposed big team anyways. Except Mata.
So did I, I think him playing in the Prem has made it obvious that: 1) La Liga defences are embarrassingly bad and left huge gaps for him to pass through 2) Playing with the best player in the world - ready to sprint on to any pass you put through - makes you look really good
