    SMITH SIGNS NEW DEAL
Striker extends his stay by three years…

    PUBLISHED 18 AUGUST 2014 AT 05:00

    Matt Smith Signs
    3 2MATT SMITH
United are delighted to confirm that striker Matt Smith has committed his future to the club by signing a new three-year deal.

Smith has been rewarded with a new contract at the club after a successful season at United where he scored 12 league goals in an impressive first year in the Championship.

The striker was United’s first signing of the summer in 2013 when he arrived from Oldham Athletic.

On signing his new contract Matt Smith said: “I’m very happy and I’m delighted that it has happened.

“It is a huge honour and a privilege for me to represent the football club. To extend my future here is brilliant and I’m over the moon.

“I’m just happy that the club have got me in their plans for the future and the three year deal is a show of intent. From what I did last year I’m happy that it has come to fruition.”

Me too - my first impression of him was "what a donkey"
Since then, he has not improved and it shows that Leeds are still a hoofball team if he's still in their plans.
Not sure if it is Cellino or Hockawally that has pressed the panic buy button after we taught them a footballing lesson, but they really have bought a load of crap since.
Was certain Blackpool would be bottom of the pile, but think Leeds will run them close - the fact that Nile Ranger turned down Leeds for Blackpool speaks volumes <ok>

Well your manager thought he was the best in the league, but IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD A BIG SIGNING THEN SIGN A DWARF.
