    I'm predicting a 1-1 draw.
Looking at the stats there are never a lot of goals.
    Hate villa big time.

I think we can take Villa to be honest. We have the pace and defensive quality to deal with their style, and despite breaking very well at times, they lack composure in the final 3rd. They scored due to poor goalkeeping vs Stoke.

I suggest we try and dominate possession, but don't get carried away going forward. If we can score the first goal then I think we'll win it. We can counter with our pace and give them a bit of their own medicine, except a stronger and more efficient taste, seeing as we, surely, have more creative and technical ability.

Villa were impressive Saturday. Could be a tricky fixture but I'll go for a 2-1 win. I think Cabella might just have his first stormer.

Im going to predict we get beat 1-0

They will score the winner after pardew changes things while we look like getting something.

    2-1 loss
we'll go ahead with Cabella and be looking great, then they'll score from a simple attack exposing our defensive frailty. probably WeinerMan or whatever he's called

    confidence shattered, we'll fall apart...
the game will get scrappy and they'll nick it with a set piece or an ugly scrambled goal from someone like Aboringwhore

I can see this happening too. :(

Was going to foolishly predict a narrow, hard-fought victory, but that would just make defeat feel even worse.

I'm hoping Jimmy will lift my spirits with a confident prediction of '3-1 to the Toon'.

Arguably a far, far more important game than City, Pardew's judgement begins here. A loss will be a devastating blow - I wouldn't like to be in Alan's shoes for the home match against Palace if we're bottom of the table with a P2 L2 record. I just don't think he has this ten game cushion many within the media have set as a benchmark, not with the fans anyway. Cannot possibly predict how its' going to go. With a fit SDJ and Ferreyra an option from the bench, then maybe a bit more calmness with Riviere, we might have a goal or two in us. What I'd really like to see is Pardew somehow managed HBA back into contention.

What defensive frailty? We have a good midfield ahead of our defence, and we did very well against City, they just exposed whatever flaw there might be with world class play.

We haven't got the greatest individuals, but we should have enough to see off Villa.

I'm going for 1-2 to the toon.

Wiemann for them, Cabella and Sissoko for us.

Line up should be this -

    -----------Riviere--------------
    --Gouff---------------Cabella---
    -----------Sissoko------------
    -----Anita--------Colback--------
    Haidara---Colo--Willo------Janmaat
    ------------Krul---------------

    Subs -

    Elliot
    De Jong
    Tiote
    Obertan
    Aarons
    Perez
    Feyrera
    Dummett

Bring on De Jong and Tiote later on. We should start with the same team minus Dummett. We should be going forward in this match.

Christ on a bike. With all due respect, how many times does Sissoko have to play badly in the middle for people to get it? Personally Gouff's the one who has to drop, just an average player for me. I'd rather push Anita slightly further forward and have Tiote/Colback holding, or just have Tiote holding and have Tiote and Colback slightly further forward, with Sissoko right, Cabella left and SDJ up front.

Do agree the Lumpett should be third choice LB.

Dummett only started because he's way more defensive. I'm going 3-0 to us. I think cabella hits them early and we put our foot on the gas for once.

Frankly many of us would be happy if it could preserve a bit more of its mystery . . .
