You know Summer is on the way out when Windsor stages its last Monday evening fixture of the season. Its been a happy hunting ground for me this year. Been no money for it but I quite like the look of DALMARELLA DANCER in the last. Met trouble in running last time and has been dropped a lb since. Karl Burkes record here in the last five years is 3 from 7 and his string are in fine fettle at the moment, he has won this race in the not too distant past as well. Three year olds have a stunningly good record in the race against the older horses. Whenever I have a sneaky for a horse I always like to see the right jockey on board if possible and Jim Crowley certainly fits the bill for me. Lanigans will be hard to beat and he is also in cracking form but Dalmarella Dancer could just be a bit of value. I have just looked over the Kempton Card tomorrow and have found a few of mild interest and one strong bet. Kempton 2.30 Like a Diamond 14-1 EW This horse was tried at a higher grade in it's last race which indicates that they do have a little belief n the horse. Fitness must be taken on trust after such a break but I think 14-1 is just too big and that 8's would really reflect it's chance. 4.30 King Calypso 7-4 This is the strong bet as I really liked his last run and it suggested there is still more to this horse. 5.00 Marydale 13-2 This horse comes from a stable in top form, it's runs to late have suggested that she can win a race before long and at 13-2 I am happy to take a chance that it's today.
Looks good value at 9s Rude but a very tight race , I dont thinnk the bookies are far of with trulee scrumptious if the rain comes and trulee makes a good start the rest might find it hard to get back on terms . Good luck though mate
Morning folks, how are we all? Off to York on Wednesday for the first time, hopefully the weather will hold up! Two Group races (Great Voltigeur & Juddmonte International) which will be good to see. Any confirmation on which race Eagle Top goes for? Any useful tips for the day?! Some of you will know the bars/pubs etc im sure!
Have fun. Decent little walk from the train station to the course or you can jump on one of the buses they put on. I like going to Pitcher & Piano after the races which overlooks the River Ouse. Across the bridge from there you also have Living Room and a couple of others.
Nothing of huge interest today but I backed Shipyard lto and will do so again today. 7/1 e/w. I thought a step up in trip would have done the trick. Looks like connections think along the same lines as they've entered it in the 5.40 at Roscommon. 7/1 is a really fair price with a competent claimer whipping off 5lbs. If it doesn't win today then i'll probably leave it alone in future. 5.40 Roscommon Shipyard
Toppy, like Bob says if you are on the train then it is a great walk to the course with plenty of bars to go in. Same on the way back, my favorite course is York. Not able to get there this year.
Hmm, would this cause possible non-attendance at the course, cityhull? Non-arrival returning home is no problem, but a shame to miss the meeting? Well done Saturday with your team btw, typical R's start, nevermind, we can live in hope.................
Went out with a gal from the big smoke in my younger days, didn't realise that she was a football fan until we were in bed and she kept moaning "up the RRRR's
Limit yourself to one in each establishment and you should make it no problem. I think QPR will be ok this season, they have a good spine to the team and in Remy (assuming he stays) a goalscorer
What a ride Megan Nicholls is!! Another ride she has picked the horse up to go in front when needed!! She will win a G1 in her lifetime and she's fit too !!
How's the "Champ" getting on these days? What's happened to the daily thread, you driven them all away Bob?! Is it too early to start some Cheltenham chat? Only 7 months now....
Quality again Bluesky notice you dont get much recognition for numerous recent winners and you dont highlight them yourself good work
