I hope they do sign him, he's 5 years past his best and would look well out of place in that side. Why do you think the worst Inter side in a generation let him go? Interstingly people seem to hink he's a hard man. Do you know how many times he was booked for Inter?
Pearson has said talks are progressing but now Matty James and Danny Drinkwater are injured he will try to accelerate the deal. We have to start Dean Hammond and Andy King against Chelsea unless we sign someone (both did superbly at the weekend) Cambiasso has signed for us 30 times in the last week after passing his 100th medical according to different media sources in both England, italy and Argentina
He's nothing like a hard man. Why do people assume all defensive midfielders are tough in the tackle?
Just saying, Morgan, Upson, Wasilewski, Konchesky, Taylor-Fletcher, Nugent all around 30. Once you add Cambiasso and Fanni, that's a lot of old players
Of all those you mention only Wes Morgan is a guaranteed starter ... we could do with Cambiasso to sit in front of the back four tbf ..,. we have lots of good young midefield players (Drinkwater, James, King, Mahrez, Knockaert) but nobody with the experience and technical excellence of El Cucho .. he'd be a wonderful signing for us IMHO...
Upson is injured until Christmas and won't play much, Wes is only 30 and is our captain, Wasilewski is cover, Konch is experience and a major worry for us IMO, GTF will hardly play and Nugent is 29 so not that old If you look at the spine of our team most are young players. Schmeichel (27) De Laet (25) Moore (21) Drinkwater (24) James (23) Schlupp (21) Albrighton (24) Knockaert (22) Mahrez (23) King (25) Ulloa (28) Vardy (27) Wood (22) So were not an old team by any stretch of the imagination
I dont know what all this is about - when he was with us Nigel loaded his team with youngsters complimented by the occasional old head. It's what I'd do if I was a manager.
