I see a lot of media criticism of Tyler Blackett for passing the ball to Swans' Wilfried Bony in the lead up to the second goal. As naive as that was Blackett didn't make the initial unnecessary foul, he didn't switch off to the threat of a quick free kick, he didn't lose track of two Swansea attackers on the left, he didn't fail to stop a cross from Montero, he didn't fail to head a ball clear of Routledge, he didn't fail to mark Siggurdson or fail to block the final shot .... all that was the doing of experiences Manchester United players. Give the kid the respect he deserves - a decent introduction to the Premier League against a team that were no mugs. Swans supporter.
He was thrown in at the deep end somewhat, and performed admirably. Just thrown straight in to a league opener in a team with that defence........I dont think too much blame can be placed on him.
agree completely. dont think any blame should fall on him. or any other individual for that matter. the performance as a team wasnt good enough
You can argue about the freekick but at the end of the day, it was given so played moved on... If he doesn't kick them the ball back then the goal doesn't happen. He's a young lad, things like that come with experience. He will certainly learn from that mistake
a rather bold statement unless you have some sort of special ability to see what could have been, who knows what wouldve happened had he passed to a team mate, rooney could have tripped over the ball and broke his leg and swansea couldve won 7-1, who knows(apart from you)??!?!. but it was a mistake none the less
