    Liverpool Fan in peace <peacedove>

I watched Tadic yesterday (to be honest I had not heard of him, before yesterday as I don't follow the Dutch league). But I must say for 10mil(isn) it looks like you could have unearthed an absolute gem.

If he carries on the form he showed yesterday he could well be the buy of the season - to be honest I was watching in admiration of how good this guy actually is.

If you take into consideration that this was his first PL game, and at Anfield (a stadium that only 2 teams, one being Southampton) won last season, he did incredibly well.

I would imagine that once he's fully settled he will tear teams apart singlehandedly - I believe he could become that good.

Anyway on yesterday's game - The difference was a sublime pass from Henderson to Sterling and a poachers goal from Sturridge. Things could and probably should have been very different. You certainly deserved a draw (at minimum). But I guess as they say - top teams are able to grind out results when up against it, and that's what we managed to do yesterday.

Good luck for the season - I'm sure you'll do very well on yesterday's showing.

I'll be keeping a close eye on Tadic. As he's my type of player, he seems to have everything needed to be a huge success in the PL.

    Cheers,
    Skylarker <ok>

Thanks. A fair summing up I would say. We've always said that Lallana is a poor man's Tadic:biggrin:

To be fair - Tadic could quite easily be an upgrade on Lallana. We'll have to wait and see what Lallana brings to Liverpool, unfortunately he's injured so we'll have to wait and see for that.

I might as well get the #banter in early - I heard Liverpool put in a bid for him etc etc etc.

Still, very encouraging performance from him yesterday. I'm not getting too excited because Gaston's full debut was even better and that hasn't quite panned out as we'd hoped, but it's a good start.

<laugh> First I've heard of that!!

Gaston may of faded - but it's clear this Tadic guy is different class, I cannot for the life of me see him fading, especially as he's played under Koeman before.

I wish we did put a bid in for him <ok>

Been saying for a little while now that Tadic looks very exciting. Hopefully he can keep it up.

OK then if you would care to start the bidding now, there isn't a lot of time before the Window closing, and don't forget Murphy says you need a player like Spider, he is unique, so I guess you are going to have to dig deeper in the purse, feeder club, yeh right........ <devil>

On first showing, it looks like we've unearthed a gem.

Definitely our most exciting signing of this window. I do wish he had more competition for that title, but still, very encouraging.

All I would say to Liverpool is keep your beady eyes off Tadic.......We have put a £50000 price tag for negotiations to open with another £50000 in add ons.
Just to make you aware we mean what we say we are not a selling club! <laugh>

There's certainly potential there and he showed great skill at times but it was a bit of a rough around the edges peformance, as you'd expect from the first game of the season. I thought Ward-Prowse and Clyne were the best players for Southampton yesterday.

Wanyama was the clear standout for most of us.

Definitely, looked like a man on a mission.

Might also mention that Bertrand looked rather good. A couple of errors but nothing critical and his movement forward was excellent.

Tadic was the only signing that all fans were up for. We were all admirers of Lallana...because he was ours, but we were also aware that he was unfinished. He had potential and only really came good recently. He may carry on improving at Liverpool, but I can see him carry on his erratic form if the team isn't built round him (which it won't be). I think Tadic will be better than Adam....exciting times.

IMO, Lallana is the type of player, who needs to be at maximum match fitness, to perform at his best. He also seems to take quite a while to get his fitness levels up to the maximum, after injury, so it will be interesting to see how effective he is, for you.
Personally, for the way he agitated for the move, I hope he has a season full of niggling injuries, so you never get to see him at his best, before transferring him to someone like QPR or Stoke.
