One lad then spat on Carson and continued continued to goad him. The mentality of this individual beggars belief. CCTV will hopefully identify the moron and a life ban will follow.
Agree entirely. The mentality of someone who, when their own team has just scored a last minute winner, would prefer to focus on the other team's despair than his own joy is staggering.

That's awful, especially after Carson clapped the home fans before the 2nd half and at full time. Could be a quiz question in the future, 'which ex Charlton player of the year was spat on by a Charlton fan?' Disgraceful.

I was disgusted and once the delight from the winner settled the anger from the act was stupid, kid should be banned and his mates too, disrespect and an absolute mug, ruined a great day. But fair play to Carson, will always hold a place in my heart for his performances for us and to applaud us still is great play by him.

Obviously not long standing fans, who witnessed Carson play for us. In both halves he clapped fans. Always showed appreciation to the fans when he's returned. Kick these morons out the club!
I've got a fairly good idea I know which group of idiots did this (not certain as I wasn't at the game yesterday) Group of about 6 or 7 kids sat front row to the right/centre of goal, covered in stone island having watched football factory once too often. It wouldn't be the first time they have abused an opposition keeper either, I remember the Oxford keeper in the fa cup match last season getting some awful abuse in particular. These kids aren't fans, they are scum who should be identified and banned.

The CCTV images are overwhelming, the complaints to the club have been made. I wasn't at the game but this really does disappoint me, why spend money to go and abuse the away team? Surely you should be cheering your team, especially as we'd just scored the winner. Its idiots like this that give football fans the world over a bad name!
