Does he have a name? Or a club? Do you have a source for this rumour?

 

breaking news apparntly we have bid for a striker who has scored goals in the past you heard it here first.. and a centre half who has made a few tackles

If neither Newcastle nor Arsenal are interested then this French striker can't be that good.

I think he was joking... Gignac is a good player though. Not the quickest but a clinical finisher.

 

Don't we need a quick clever goal poacher a la Long, who actually scores more goals than Long did?

Possibly Vincent Aboubakar? Scored 16 last season in the French league. 6'1 and quick as they come

 

I had a boubakar once. Traded it in for a better model.

Also a big swedish guy who plays for rennes.

 

Aboubakar would be a good signing. Very, very quick and young as well. Just hope we get a move on so whoever comes in can settle, if it is indeed from overseas then it's going to take longer than someone from the PL.

 

We've already been linked with Aboubakar at the beginning of the window.

 

Swanny has mentioned his name in todays HDM. Watching Ajax over the weekend that lad Sigurdsson looks handy.Then again so was Altidore in that league.

On saturday Jermain Defoe was a name also mentioned but my Spurs mate says that Spurs have first option if he comes back. Rumour has it that JD wants out of the MLS.

Lacazette & Gignac are out of our range i think as bigger clubs are interested. Aboubaker has been linked with us before too but the one id like to see is Ben Yedder..

 

I'd guess it was rubbished because we weren't in for a striker at the time. Might've changed now.
