I tried to find the original by Paul Revere and the Raiders but it ended as a choice between this or the Monkees. This won:
I don't need to read through all those posts, it was more of an opinion on remy being a good player. Was not thinking of the fee or wages as it was more of a compliment to his abilities.
Please no. Townsend is a player who has a certain ability, but ultimately lack the football intelligence to utilize it. And we would be helping Poch to get rid of the deadwood, so it's a no-no.
Townsend is terrible and the most frustrating footballer to watch. He isn't good enough for a team like Spurs so will be dropping down the ladder to us or a team similar to us, where he also won't be good enough and end up in the Championship eventually, if any team pays more than £1m for him they have been robbed
he's several years older and not demonstrably better than redmond. he'd surely cost double in wages. the brighton kid is completely unproven and would have to be much cheaper in wages though the transfer fee is relatively high.
Ugh Andros Townsend. Given our game will have a big focus on crossing I'd like it if we could buy players who can cross.
The main issue with most wingers is that they tend to be very inconsistent, regularly disappear from a game and their crossing can be poor. That's why the likes of Giggs was so good as he was none of these and stood out from the rest by a country mile.
Our passing doesn't quite seem as sharp as last season yet, and I'm a bit worried that Tadic is our only attacking outlet at the moment, but we look relatively solid. Looks like we're trying to stay solid and stop them from playing, I expect Long to come on and counter in the second half.
