Funny old results today, if we lose by 2 goals or more we are bottom. On the other hand we win by 2 goals we go top.
Koeman tells Saints detractors: We're better than you think! - http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/16082014-ronald-koeman-on-relegation-tag-1834537.aspx
Brendan Rodgers: "I have absolutely no sympathy for Southampton. They have a choice as a club - they don’t have to sell their players."
His wife doesn't have to divorce him either. Tends to happen when he's sleeping with a younger woman though. morals of brendan rodgers
well lets hope we win by more than 2 goals. Start as you mean to go on and all that. And ****ing lucky Brenda needs to shut his mouth. How many times did he say Liverpool could win the league last season then lose the next game? I hope he has a full squad available so he doesn't stumle onto a formation that works.
"I have absolutely no respect for Brendan Rodgers. I have a choice as a person - I don't have to like him. "
To be accurate, I suspect it was Steven Gerard doing all the tapping up. Although that was undoubtedly under instruction.
He probably said something along the lines of: I have no ****ing clue what formation we will be playing tomorrow let alone the start of the next season, but I'm sure you would be a great addition to whatever formation it is
I've no doubt. But Rodgers made no secret of his admiration of Lambert prior to the Anfield win last season. This was after Rickie had made his initial England squad. You can bet Gerard was in there chatting away, getting Lambert's thoughts and ambitions. Later on, what better than to tap up his teammate too, during the next England get together..? Then once Gerard/Rodgers had got them with their tongues hanging out, they enquired whether the bloke who scored against Liverpool might like to come along as a cosy group. It all makes perfect sense to me. All it took after that was Saints desire to resist nearly £50M of the Suarez money being dangled in front of them, along with trying to talk round players whose heads had been turned. Like I said on another thread, Saints could have just said No, to every player. But in truth it was probably better that they took the money. There were several points during last season where I didn't see Saints getting better with the same players, and demotivated ones could have ruined the early part of this season. We'll get some real answers at FT at Anfield.
Possibly so, but Lambert is more important as a catalyst for others leaving rather than going himself. It's no secret that there is huge mutual respect between Lambert and Lallana. That makes it easier to get one to follow where the other goes.
