Sounds great, and sounds genuine. Want and hope to believe him !

 

What I think it is, is...

- It's not Koeman's intention to use Saints as a stepping stone
- If he gets a top, top offer then so be it
- Seemed like Pochettino saw Saints as a chance to get his name out there in England


I can see him getting offered the Holland job after Hiddink... maybe. He wouldn't be able to say no to that, surely?

Who knows, but I was just thinking, Koeman is talking a LOT and making a lot of guarantees and promises, I hope he can back all this up!

Maybe after Nige and Poch, who both avoided really ever saying anything at all, I'm just not used to the way managers speak!

 

I suspect we won't be successful enough (in the short term at least) for him to get offered a top job.

 

FWIW, this is Koeman on the threat of relegation:
