Is that a criticism of Fergie then since the majority of player are his and he played 442...? Surely Felliani and Mata doesn't stop you playing wingers. Or is it a lack of decent CBs that's the problem so his putting three in there in an attempt to avoid them be exploited as much? #532
Di Maria was and is the most frustrating player at Madrid. So inconsistent. He will have games like the one in the CL final but then he will have many anonymous and poor ones after that. I watched him many times and if I supported Real I'd love him and hate him.
That was true two seasons ago. Hes matured loads tye past year. Stepped up in a see of galacticos, forces his way back in and been as good as any. So much so ancelotti doesnt want him sold. Sadly he doesn't call the shots at madrid.
Well he did have an overall good season for his and Reals standards. No doubt he'd improve your lot. But he's not exactly the mega wonder signing that will solve all of United's problems. Also I don't think he will leave Real this summer but that's half hope you don't get him and half gut feeling. I do feel that he has too many games per season (even last season) where he shows flashes of the Nani-esque inconsistency to really be considered top 10 in the world. Probably top 20 which is about as good as any club can hope to sign.
Thats thr nature of flair players. Most of the time it doesnt come off. Last season di maria showed he could do the simple stuff too. Thats why he improved as a player.
Are you basing your opinion just on the champions league final? He was better last season in the league but he's still a very frustrating player that gives the ball away a lot
According to real madrid mouth piece Marca, hes on his way to united. Should he announced in 48 hours. Whilst hes not a priority he would add another dimension to our attack and overall play. Van gaal will deploy him as he did robben imo.
Just because we have changed formation doesnt make him not a priority, we always said we needed a new winger and Id rather him in the team then Young.
Quality player, fair play if you bag him. I would say he is a priority UIR, especially after Nani has gone.
"he has said no such thing, Marca have got their reports from Caught Offside. Sky tweeted this earlier today, it's the most concrete you'll get:" Bryan Swanson @skysports_bryan · 3h As Marcos Rojo has medical, we're told Man Utd have yet to make a formal offer for any other player. 12 days to go. #mufc
I was impressed with him in the WC. Would be a great buy for United. Also symbolic that we can spend big...
Symbolic big spending means nothing Chris, i would rather have wise/intelligent big spending. For me Vidal or Khedira would be better targets at the moment, Di Maria would be a good boost in January once the team has settled the important players in (Midfield and defence).
To be honest after the fiasco of last year, which IMO laid the foundation to our disastrous season, any top buy is to be welcome and any of our targets coming to OT must be good news. Plus an attack of RVP, Rooney, di Maria and Mata does not look too shabby does it?
