I remember Baines struggling more against Italy than against Uruguay. Darmian gave him hell.

 

I saw a post on Saintsweb earlier that said we were hoping to sign Geoff Cameron from Stoke. I notice that he wasn't in their squad today, not sure whether that's because of the World Cup though.

 

Would make sense, cover for RB and CB. Wouldn't be too exciting but never mind.

 

Plus 100 million new US fans.

 

Yeh, I thought it made sense. Of course there may be absolutely nothing in it.

He was very good for Stoke last season, at late developer at 28 though.

 

He has no pace. Those looking for a cb with pace will be very disappointed. I can't say he would interest me even as a squad player.

You'd almost think we didn't have much money to spend.

 

I don't think he'd be thaaaat bad, but we'll probably end up paying £25m for him so who knows.

At £1, he'd be a bargain...we could use him as a training dummy at the very least.

 

He's decent enough, but he'd be another fairly-expensive-and-merely-okay late-20s player to add to a growing collection of such.

 

I'd be delighted with a solid, proven Premiership defender. Really consistent and above average for the division. Plus, he's very versatile which would solve our need for backup in fullback positions. Depends how much the fee is.

 

Stop being so dramatic.

 

Remy is by far qpr's player. Shame we didn't go for him.

 

Have you genuinely not read the conversations in here about his wages and his fee? And he is a bit if a prick.

 

We shouldn't be going near players like Remy if we don't want to be a stepping stone.
