We on average, probably picked up more points without Michu last season too. Does that make him a poor player?
Your opinion appears to be a bit misguided as Ki and JdG didn't play in the same position for us. And my inclusion of Poz in this relates to your using the same types of stats that you and others say had no bearing on Poz's contribution for the club, so I was merely highlighting a bit of hypocracy.
Ki has always played rather deep for us and imo that's why we haven't seen the best of him. That said, competition in the AM role has been tough. Bob Slob: "my points are these ... Ki is not and was never as good as some are making out." Your opinion. Played in the World Cup and was Korea's best player by a mile - or does that mean nothing too? "MoM in some of those Sunderland games is pretty meaningless." Really? Explain. Doesn't tally with your point 1 above. "Sunderland picked up points when he didn't play." Are you saying they should have lost all their games when he was absent? What an absurd argument. "He wondered off from Swansea when told not to." We agreed to the loan. Told not to? Lol. He wanted game time leading up to the WC. Understandable. "He has missed the end of 2 of the last 3 seasons." Players get injured. Big deal. When you come up with some cogent arguments relating to Ki I'll take notice of them. For example, his lack of a defensive mindset. Sorry but this is just meaningless fluff.
Each of us has an opinion and if you think Ki is god's gift to Swansea City .. good for you. Sorry to burst your bubble but I don't care if you take notice or not.
It was clear to anyone watching Sunderland rise from the ashes last season that Ki and Borini were the two key reason's, and obviously why most of the Not606 blackcats posters wanted Poyet to sign the pair, I don't know how many times I went on their board last season, and told them that there was no chance of us off loading Ki to them, numerous times I told them to dream on, so to say that Ki's performances up at Sunderland were meaningless is ridiculous. I new we would keep him, the same as I new we would not be bringing the DeGoose back!...............
You cannot possibly know that, you are just a mist appearing then disappearing, dust you are and dust you will return to!................
That's very true Dai, it's a good job they have our input on here, otherwise they would be lost!................

Well, your postings and general demeanour on this, and other forums, would indicate otherwise. If what you normally post is to be described as being intelligent, then we need to redefine the word intelligence.
...and this was without his 'input' today, Lib. Ki was MOM today for me - looked cultured in midfield and sprayed the ball around effortlessly. Great goal and worked hard defensively. Knew he had it in him!
Ki was awesome today... sigs was my mom but i hope we hurry up and get a replacement for Taylor. we were much better when he got replaced....
Now we can see why Monk kept Ki and let De Guzman go, great game today that should get everyone talking about our rookie manager Monk in a positive way, this is going to be a an exciting season.
Very pleased with Ki's performance. Looked well up for it and only once got caught on the ball IIRC. Had a tendency to slip and fall on his arse quite a bit last time he was with us but kept his feet well today. With him, Gylfi, and JJ in the middle we've got three player who can really put their laces through the ball. Look forward to more goals from midfield this year.
I Think he is an average player but he had a cracking game today . Long may it continue, though somebody needs to drop to the bench when leon gets fit.
