Corporate were given details earlier this week. It was £15 for the Trenchin match and the Lokeren one is £30, so imagine the standard tickets will be minimum £20, and I imagine certain stands £25.
Just get the bloody things on sale. If they delay them and get beat 3 nil on Thursday the stadium will be half full. Poor marketing I think
I dont think prices should change until we reach the group stages. There's no point pricing people out again and risking a half empty stadium.
It's not as if it's a League Cup first round tie against Morecambe, it's a Europa League match against a tidy foreign outfit. £20 is a very reasonable price. We just sold out our full allocation for the away game where the ticket was more expensive than £20 on it's own without even taking into account travel/accomodation costs.
Putting the prices at 20 quid plus is a joke in my eyes, I can see us sorting this match out in the away leg this time so who's going to pay £20 quid plus to watch a dead rubber? The main reason the first game sold out is that the match was historic, and also it was finely balanced from the first match.
Those going away are our core fans. They'd go if it was £100. We probably have a few thousand of those types. It's the other 22000 who make a big difference to attendances and for those the price is clearly a factor. I think the club misjudged how popular the last one would be and regret making it so cheap. This time they've learnt from that and are bumping the prices up. We'll probably see a much smaller crowd but make more money off them.
