http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/sanchez-set-for-aston-villa-as-elche-get-replacement-from-swansea 'Elche already have a personal agreement with Canas but nothing is completed with Swansea City as yet. The Spanish club aren't able to match the â¬700,000 per year which Swansea pay Canas '
We are paying Canas around 11K pounds per week. We are not prepared to play him. And we're not going to release him with a payment to cover the difference between his current pay rate and his future pay rate?
I'd say Monk should eat some humble pie and play him on that cash Most managers when they come to a club make a point of saying 'clean slate for everyone' etc but Monk took over with pre-conceived ideas. we'll see how they pan out
With Britton out and our defensive midfield in tatters , how Canas is not going to play a part even though we have to pay him speaks volumes on how personal its gotten with whats good for the team taking a back seat. Coupled with Vorm'transfer fiasco , we are being run like a school team at best . Bit disillusioned and worried about the direction we are travelling of late .
The point I was trying to make was that 11K per week in the grand scheme of Prem money is peanuts - Tate could be making more than him, for what ... just being Tate and stepping on grass with the U-21. If I remember correctly - Canas came to us in preference to a more lucrative offer at West Brom because of Laudrup. And now this .... If we don't move him on before the filing deadline for the senior squad - he has to be named on it unless we have 25 others we can name before him. Do we really want this?
Exactly, Canas came because of Laudrup, maybe he wants to leave. If that's the case then Monk has done the right thing and not involved him with the squad as he should only be focusing on the players who want to be here and prospective transfers.
Totally agree! Also I did read that there is interest in his signature but his wage demands are too high?!
Needs must , Do anyone here recall not wanting to get out of bed do a job of work even though we didn't like the boss, conditions, etc I know I did . if he's being paid then play him thats what he's here for , I know maybe it's a simplistic view of the issue but considering he was supposed to have been the main instigator of the trouble within he 's the only one left , better players have left and in doing so have cost the club money .
Agree with that. Regardless of which came first - chicken or egg - Was Canas wanting to stay but Monk not want to work with him; or Monk not want to work with him because Canas wanting to leave.
At this point it doesn't much matter. Canas is not being included in the squad. Best thing for everybody is that he exits the Club. Monk reportedly has burned the bridge. Settle the contract and let Canas find a landing somewhere.
I see the pretend chairmen and managers on here think they know what is going on and how the club operates their business better than the Actual chairman and manager... Still it gives me and others a laugh...HeHe
Dai ... you're a stupid person's idea of somebody who always thinks he knows what he's talking about.
July 18th 'Jose Canas and Alejandro Pozuelo have been told to find new clubs ... ' https://www.clubcall.com/swansea-city/swans-set-to-swoop-for-wing-man-1733479.html
I posted quite a while back that Pozuelo told a friend of mine whilst out on Wind Street he was out of favour and he was leaving, as was Michu and Canas. If you remember I backed it up with a photo. Whilst most posters accepted the story, you, I recall, laughed at that story. Such insight you have. He he.
