Apologies if this is a stupid question, but when Koeman says "Southampton" as "Sousehampton" is that for a reason, as in the way the "th" would be pronounced in Holland? Was just wondering is all
Don't speak that much Dutch but I don't think 'th' exists in that language - not like our th. In the Dutch word 'thuis', which means home, th is more of t sound, making touse (rhymes with scouse). Say th. You have to open your mouth and stick your tongue forward. If it's not native to you it's hard to do - like a rolled r in Spanish is to us. Erwin says it correctly, it's just a proficiency thing.
Thanks for that Canon. Was just wondering is all, as you said, his brother Erwin says "Southampton". Thanks!
Even if Gardos is crap I'm going to think he was a great signing, just because I can tell another Romanian in the country will piss off Farage.
I think you'll find he's quite keen on wealthy immigrants. After all, he married one, and then employed her himself.
The Nick Robinson interview about his wife is the only time I've seen him properly look under pressure, normally he's confident and knows what he's going to say.
