I'm pleased with the purchase too and regarding his fee, we can only judge this once he has been sold/ retired. Only then will we know if it was money well spent.

He was announced as our second most expensive signing ever, so more than Ramirez and Wanyama's 12m, and less than Osvaldo's 15m. Makes 12.5m seem probably pretty accurate.
It's in a bunch of articles about it, but then all three of those were officially undisclosed too. Undisclosed fees are always just poorly kept secrets, it's almost definitely an ultimate value of 12.5m, we just don't know how that's made up in terms of bonuses and so on.

I think we should let him play at least 10 minutes of football before we get on his back and demand he's dropped. I think he will prove an inspired addition to our squad. he's a down to earth lad, used to the premiership, with a superb work ethic. No more prima donnas here!
