Just saw that apparently this is who Ameobi now plays for (since Monday). They just escaped relegation from the second tier of Turkish football last year... Ameobi is not a very good footballer but I'm surprised no-one in the championship came in for him to be honest. Oh well good luck to him.
He wanted to play in a hot country for a year I think. I agree he could probably still have played in the championship...maybe even the bottom end of the prem! ?

What job was that. Must be the worst CF we ever had in goals to appearances ratio. For me his only saving grace were the goals he scored against the Mackems.
Shola Ameobi is not the top player he was in younger year but he is better than Turkish second division for Peter's sake! I think maybe he is think it will be like holiday for him, though I was thinking an MLS or A League teams would be interested in him. Best of luck Shola, you will never be forget.
All joking aside he could still do a job in the Championship or League 1. I can only assume money is the motivation.
