The rich twats always find a way to get richer. My mate is on £45k a year and each year he gets a net wage decrease as his P11D hammers him for having a car he uses 98% of the time for work and needs to drive to see customers day after day.

Oh and the House of Commons is apparently tax free drink.

    Bastards.

Zero Hour contracts are 100% exploitation and I personally wouldn't sign one. But they are not illegal and nobody forced the employees to sign them. Personally, it's the responsibility of those in charge to protect the rights of their citizens and make such things illegal (which is about to happen I believe).

Thanks :) It was from the commentator when Cole equalized against Man Ure in our 3rd ever PL game.

Bloody hell. Can't remember that, and I used to set most of them away. At the time he was there, I had a season ticket in the top corner of the Milburn stand near the Leazes end. Full of old posers and noisy buggers. Great place to sit. <ok>

Paaa Pavasilou, Papavasilou! He looked so promising with that left peg. To be honest when I think back, KK has us going so well at the time that the likes of Kitson, Huckerby, Holland, Papavasilou, Robinson, Mathie could come in and look alright. He just had a knack of buying players cheap too and getting the max from them. Mathie probably couldn't believe he was capabe of scoring that sliding volley he scored against Sheff Wed.

Malcolm Allen was another although I do think he was a better footballer than most realised. Fully committed and very very clever at finding space. 5 in 10 games and had to retire due to injury at 28. Really sad. Wait all that time to hit the big time and that happens.

No, just no. Robinson couldn't have looked alright even if he had his middle and left side cut away from his body.

I remember watching him when we were away to Sheff Wed. I was in with the Sheff Wed fans and one of them asked me if Robinson was scared as he seemed to be literally shaking whenever the ball and Sheff Wed player went near him. After watching very carefully I had to admit that he was!!!!

Cloudy memories - Mathie had ONE good game, Kitson was an outrageous waste of money and the less said about the rest the better! No manager is perfect, but KK was a different era entirely and money wasn't where it is today.

The point was that we got away with fielding average to poor players and still won games. They'd have high moments in amongst it too, despite being not very good. The whole club was bouncing along on a wave of enthusiasm.

Kitson was over priced but actually did ok. I think he scored something like 1 in 3. It was just we were used to superstars like Cole, Ferdinand and latterly Shearer. He was just middle of the road and 2.25m was way too much. They wanted 3-4m at the time! Maybe I'm overly kind to Robinson in suggesting he had the odd decent game. Watching Mark Stimson will do that to you.
