The Stevenage v. Watford game looks a good sky tv choice to me.

York v Doncaster also looks a good one. May go to that.

Poor old Scun.thorpe have to go to Blackburn Rovers - oh dear.

The last 2 games from the first round draw are played tonight. Coventry v. Cardiff (live on sky sports) and Sheff Utd v. Mansfield Town.

Some interesting results last night. Scunny winning 1-0 Blackburn and Northampton winning 3-2 @ Wolves were the standout results. But the 6-6 draw between Dag+Red v Brentford and the Chesterfield 3 Huddersfield 5 games were also vfm.

So the 2nd round draw is tonight straight after the Coventry v Cardiff game.

Man Utd will be in the draw as they are NOT in europe this season. Fulham and Norwich plus all the other PL teams not in europe also enter as seeds.

Hull City enter @ the 3rd* round draw stage(27/aug). *w/c 22/sept.

 

I never thought I'd see the day when we enter the League Cup at a later round than Man Utd.

 

That makes 2 of us.

Hope Scun.thorpe get a good draw after last night and it would be nice to play them in round 3 at the end of sept.

 

It'll be nice to see us in the third round again, it's not like it happens very often.

 

Or Manchester Utd having to play in round 2.

Still find it funny we're not joining til the 3rd round and Man U are in the 2nd. Arsenal mate of mine today said it's a shame we can't use the Long money to get Hernadez but he couldn't see Man U wanting to sell him to one of their mid table rivals, which made me laugh.

 

Aren't we setting a record for our furthest ever run in the league cup?

 

Id expect us to go deep into the tournament this Season, we've got a very good 2nd Team that should be there or there abouts the final

All depends on the draw, plenty of very good teams to beat before we get anywhere near the final.

 

2 fairly decent ties in the 2nd round.

Bradford vs Leeds is the best derby but West Ham vs Sheff Utd will be the first time they've met since Tevez-gate. Both clubs have had hugely different fortunes since then so there'll be some definite crowd tension.

 

Not gonna lie, I want to Man Utd win.
