Well from what I see its gone from bad to worse and there can be no excuses now. This is DC merry mob of goal shy buccanners.

I am totally p*ssed of at all the drival that is spouted improved performance settling in period.

Look at the record of competitive games under DC and its crap. Oh well at least Rovers will have a local derby with WSM next Season if they carry on with this level of success.

The fact that every one whats to beat us should have made Rovers a tight and strong unit not a bunch of lightweights that seems to be the norm eminating from the Mem.

No pride in the shirt I am afraid we may as well pick 11 local lads playing Downs League Football it could hardly be worse.

How the mighty (in the Directors minds) have fallen much as it pains me to say, the reality is that i am embarrassed by Rovers at present.

The time for excuses is over. Start getting bloody results.

Agreed. I will always be a gashead but it is bloody embarrassing sometimes being a gashead. I said before, I am not sure I have the stomach to watch us get hammered by non league clubs and whilst losing to barnet is not so bad, I am not looking forward to the hammering we WILL get from Forest Green and Gateshead :(

Apparently Monkhouse was playing yesterday, although I didn't hear him mentioned once.

We need him to start playing as he's our most experienced and creative player.

I heard Monkhouse mentioned quite a bit and Sinclair got into the game more when the formation changed. I don't think we've got the players for 442. They seem more solid with 352...

Gosling sounded a bit disappointing because he looks as though he could be a creative player. But like so many of the others he was giving the ball away a lot...

Manager Darrell Clarke was disappointed with his side’s first half performance in last night’s 0-2 defeat at Barnet. Trailing at half time, the manager changed the system after the break and saw an improved performance, and the creation of a number of chances, though they couldn’t quite make the breakthrough.
“It was very disappointing first half, as we played a system where we needed to pass the ball and the players take responsibility. However we never really got a foothold in the game and, from my point of view, we conceded two very sloppy goals which we can’t afford to do at this level. In the second half I thought we huffed and puffed a little bit and created a number of chances, but we had given ourselves a mountain to climb. There was no point in putting long balls up to Jamie White and Matty Taylor as they need balls into their feet. We need players to take responsibility, get on the ball, and get higher up the pitch.”

Barnet’s first goal was scored by former Rovers loanee John Akinde, whose physical presence caused Rovers quite a few problems, though the big striker was never once cautioned by the referee in spite of a number of robust challenges, one of which saw Tom Lockyer have his teeth rearranged and requiring dental treatment when the side returned to Bristol. Rover’s back line appeared to think Akinde was offside when he scored.
“It looked as though we stepped up when we shouldn’t have and I’ll need to have another look at it on the DVD. As for the second goal, Will Puddy will be disappointed with the way he dealt with the long range shot. He should have pushed it the other way but that said, we didn’t react very well to the situation.”

Puddy, making his Rovers debut, could only push out a long range effort from Mauro Vilhete into the path of home skipper Charlie MacDonald, who rolled the ball into an unguarded net.
“It is a bit of a reality check and this is a very tough job at the moment, because we came into the season with high expectations and we certainly dipped way below them tonight. We shouldn’t be losing games in the manner we did tonight, and that was unacceptable. We just have to get on with things and stay together as a group. Things are difficult at the moment and it is a tough job, but it’s one I’m more than capable of turning around.”

The manager admits he needs a couple of additions to his squad, but his two latest targets won’t be coming to the Memorial Stadium.
“The striker I was hoping to bring here has opted to go to Dagenham & Redbridge and the loan player I was hoping to bring in has proved to be too expensive, so it’s back to the drawing board.”

From the post....

Clarke said:
“We had a game-plan but we didn’t execute it properly. It was a very disappointing first-half performance. We used a system that requires the players to pass the ball, but we just went far too long and never got a foothold in the game. The players need to take a bit more responsibility to pass the ball when they have it rather than going long all the time. It is no good punting long balls up to the likes of Matt Taylor and Jamie White when they need balls into feet. We also conceded two very sloppy goals and you just can’t do that at this level. We huffed and puffed a little bit in the second half and created a few chances, but we’d left ourselves a mountain to climb after the opening 45 minutes.”

Tom Lockyer caught an elbow in the face and was replaced as blood gushed from his mouth.
“Tom’s teeth are all over the place but we never got a decision from the referee (Robert Whitton) all night. You expect the referee to be fair and I don’t think he was very fair to us at all.”

Two new signings have stalled in the last 24 hours.
“I put an offer on the table for a striker, but the lad has opted to go to Dagenham. I am really disappointed with that one because he had real presence and we had agreed terms. The wide player I have been tracking for a while is very, very expensive, so it is back to the drawing board on that front.”

Clearly the proposed striker has decided to join progressive club, Dag and Red you are having a F^CKING LAUGH ! WTF is really going on behind the scenes at Rovers because I cant believe what I see and hear.

I suggest NH has finally got his wish and that the New Stadium is about as likely to happen as Rovers lifting the Champions League Trophy.

This Football Club is slowly, I lie rapidly being destroyed by the way it has been run and continues to be run by those at the top downward.

I can't believe how patient the majority of Gasheads are when they are being kicked in the teeth by incompotents week in week out. Nothing positive is forthcoming off the field and the sh^te from the jokers trying to play on the field is as bad if not worse.

What has happend to the real Bristol Rovers ?

The real Rovers as we all know it or did know it has been suffering from a rare disease called (Higgs and co) which over time causes death by destroying from within and can be known to take many years to completely destroy its host.
On occasions the host can show hints of recovery but these are normally false promises!! including Stadium syndrome... which gives a glimmer of hope for a while but this soon dwindles away like the closely related syndrome called MFNP short for money for new players!
Unfortunately most host don't recover from this awful disease!!

I have read somewhere that there is one possible cure! and that is to inject a new board in to the middle of the host and completely remove the old...

I hope this operation is available soon.....

I think we're all being a bit unfair on the Daggers. They're an established league club now. I know they're a smaller club, but most players would prefer to play at a higher level.

Well the above post tells it all, an established League Club. Hang on didn't we used to be one of those . Well done Nick and Co. You may be good at running your businesses but you are even better at running Rovers into the ground, sadly its not the new one either !

Hot air, false dawns and promises, its now time to walk the plank.

Do the honorable thing we have reached the bottom of where we want to be and for F6cks sake try and sell the Club even if it is to some money laundering Russian. I'll start looking over here if you need help.

Plenty of carrier bags full of Roubles from Ukraine Citizens as well as Those Russians.

Mark1gas good observation sadly in real life its a bit and I am very sorry to say it "like bloody cancer" it eats away and unless treated promptly is too often terminal. I know I have lost relations to it as have many reading this hence the importance of finding a cure for the real one and that eating away at OUR FOOTBALL CLUB.

Out of the bubble Bath Nick and do the honorable thing. That is unless you are a closet TED.
