They lived in the Midlands, not Reading, though her friends and family are all in Reading and she wasn't happy about moving further away.
After thinking about it for a bit - why would Brucey agree to the sale of Long, after he twice tried to get him, only for him to leave a few months later? There's something more to this.
It does seem really odd, if Shane wants to move then it suggests he isn't happy here so therefore did he really want to come here in the first place? He might as well've stayed WBA for another 6 months then tried to engineer a move.
I wonder what Curtis Davies makes of this? He had a few opinions when his signing was up in the air with us, in relation to his Mrs.
I know it's hardly the epitome of top journalism, but this piece in the Metro (from what sounds like a City fan) pretty much sums up my feelings. http://metro.co.uk/2014/08/13/why-h...e-long-to-southampton-for-12million-4830708/?
As he hasn't asked for a transfer, won't Shane get a cut of the deal too? This sale will probably end up being a lot worse than it looks on the face of it.
yeah i saw a couple of tweets about that, but nobody remotely official so didn't bother mentioning it
I do hope so. It's a good price but I just can't see us signing as good, or at least as useful a player. It's all about quality for us, cash means nowt if it leaves us struggling.
