Two best performances for me were Good Morning Vietnam and the Genie in Aladdin. Absolutely brilliant and total one off. Old enough to remember him in Mork and Mindy. Pure genius and absolutely unique.

    RIP

Always remember watching him as a kid in films such as Mrs Doubtfire and Captain Hook.

He's brilliant as the creepy Sy Parrish.

    He's also good in Insomnia.

My favourites though are Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poet's Society and Patch Adams. Brilliant in all three

The Fisher King is a cracking film, one of his best performances imo. Also in one of my all-time favourite movies, Good Will Hunting.

Brilliant stand up, genuinely hilarious man. His ability to make you feel like you somehow know him requires genius, it's not something that just happens.

Feel more towards losing Robin than losing Rik, which speaks volumes. If you haven't, search YouTube for his more or less first appearance, on Happy Days, where he upstages Henry Winkler.

Worse that he died as a victim of a seriously under-diagnosed and under-treated illness; depression. What's worse is the depression appears to have come about from my old chum Capitalism.

Capitalism is the cause of a lot of depression these days.

I remember when Richard Pryor died. Another comedy genius. There obviously wasn't the same sense of shock towards him since he had been ill for a long time with M.S. He was another legend though.

Loads of good films. I have had the usual smattering of jokes about his death, he'd have done better so I won't post them. That was one of his many great traits as well though, he didn't care about sensitivities, only about being funny. I remember him being interviewed about his addictions and he made a quip about cocaine being gods way of telling you you're making too much money. The PC brigade were out in force to say he shouldn't joke about addictions etc etc. Great films Good Morning Vietnam, Patch Adams, One Hour Photo, The Fisher King, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, all the kids films. Always loved Mork and Mindy, it made me laugh as a kid.

Speaking of Pryor, another who cared little for whether he offended anyone, here is the roast of Pryor starring Williams.
