    Good Morning Everyone,

After a promising first half performance last night, the wheels came off at Elland Road, and we scrapped a 2-1 home win.

Here are a couple of questions, that I would like answers to :-

    i) Why do the hierarchy persist in playing Hunt?

ii) On what planet is it acceptable for Beradi to kung fu kick someone (Bruce Lee sytlee)

iii) Does the kung fu kick say more about the team, and the lack of harmony at the club?

iv) How can two halves of football be so different?

    v) Can Hockaday turn it round, it is only our second game.

Giuseppe Bellusci has become the eigth player to sign for Leeds Utd this Summer. The 6-1 centre back, although only 24, has a lot of experience and surely will slot in alongside Pearce on Saturday. He has represented Italy at u21 level where he played alongside Mario Balotelli and Andrea Ranocchia.

This is, if he passes a medical today. What could go wrong???

The next signing is likely to be Billy Sharp. The wantaway Saints striker is due for a medical at Thorp Arch today.

    Here's the confusion....

Saints allowed him to leave on a free transfer...

Now, reports from Leeds suggest we are signing him for 1.8m...

You really expect us to believe that??? We need to remember that Sharp has had some serious injuries during his career, and is certainly not as fast as he used to be.

    Lets recap :-

Liam Cooper - fee agreed with Chesterfield at 850k. Due for a medical today.

Billy Sharp - fee agreed with Saints of 1.8m (yeah, right!). Due for a medical today

Giuseppe Bellusci. Undisclosed fee. 1 year loan, subject to permanent move. Due for medical today.

We also now know that Cellino has said Poleon won't be leaving the club, and to expect more arrivals at Elland Road apart from the three we know about!!!

Morning all. While I've said give hockaday a fair chance, I don't believe for one minute he'll be in the job in a month. As for hunt, I can only imagine they're trying to put him in the shop window but that's backfiring badly surely. Saturday is a real big test, at home and live on the box with a decent squad to pick from. Will be interesting to see our performance then

Elland I'm hearing that Cooper is coming for £600k which makes sense as we had a £350k and a £400k bid refused, so the £750k and £800k numbers mentioned last night mere speculation mate.

Usual deal with the Italian as we get to try before buying and pay his club around £400k for this season or until we use the buy option which could be anytime this season.

Billy Sharp is a funny one because Saints paid £1m for him and he has since been out on loan at Doncaster and Reading, and I believe his contract is up this season so will be peanuts. I do however expect problems with his wages because we won't be offering him what he had at saints. So it's up to him.

Poleon staying sounds like nobody wants him, which means a loan out for him and we still need to see what happens with Byram.

Last nights result against a team 2 leagues below and only surviving staying in the football league last season wasn't good was it. Yes a win is a win, but we should have done better. However a newish team fielded for the first time, Cook being prominent, getting the ball out wide and into danger areas all seems positive at long last. Can't wait to see what team we put out against boro, because we have a lot more options now.

Guess the Hock survives for at least the next couple of games as we await his best team settling down and playing decent football <ok>

    Morning all

1.8m for a guy who's had hot and cold patches though his career and more cold ones of late would be a gamble. Sharp likes the ball to feet and should fit in with the style the team is trying to play, on balance I think he's worth a punt but if it was true, then the fee is toppy.

Always think its dangerous signing someone because they played well against you, which us apparently what happened with cooper, but he seems well rated, and bellusci can apparently play, but is a card magnet.

The beradi and bellusci show might take us back to the glory days... At least in terms of kicking lumps out of he opposition. We have just blown our chances of topping the fair play league... Hitherto our best chance of success this season.

Not sure playing hunt is the best way of attracting offers for him! I imagine last night they brought him on because the game looked won and they are desperate to get him a goal for his confidence. I suspect though, were he to shin one in, the flood gates would still remain firmly closed.

Good morning from a dull Cote de Bardsey to Matt and co
Well it would appear we have signed 2 centrebacks and possibly a striker Billy if he gets his act together would be a great aquistion for me.
We still need an Agard and possibly a Chris Woods or Guedetti to give us fire power
Lets hope we can then concentrate of floading Norris Fatty Kenny and Hunt its obvious that Byram is going I expect to Southampton who are awash with money but with Berardi suspended for Sat I think they may delay that until next week
Have we got another right back other than Wooton?

Sharp will be a freebie make no mistake they just want to get him off their books .Last season he went on loan to Donnie you don't think they would pay much to loan him do you !
I think they will agree to pay half his wages as well lets face it, it will save them probably 500k a year

Morning all, good thread again ... still not looking great, but at least Doukara looks powerful and should scare defenders if he gets the service ... Hunt came on to run off a knock from Millwall game, pre decided regardless of score (Hock's words) so expect to see him start on Saturday, clearly still highly rated ... £1.8m for Sharp is stupid if its true, would rather go and sign hot property Delort then ... Berardi must have been wound up by the Accrington lad who probably confessed to being a Scum supporter so no problems there, does expose us though in terms of selling Byram as we need to bring in another RB if Sam goes ... Bellusci sounds great, kick the **** out of these overpaid strikers, and can't wait to see him in action against Fulham

hey Mike ... agree Chris Woods would be an excellent addition, and he is still young, but as for wide men it seems we don't want them as Hock already has White

Now according to a news report Sharp has signed on a freebie with us paying him 600k to sign and he has agreed a 2 year deal on half his current wages now for the Byram move
Still be surprised if Doukara scores any goals with his head but he is a vey strong boy

Morning all. A win's a win, & new players still coming in. Really hope Sharp is the last one for this window. It takes time to bed in new players and for the Manager to settle on his best team. If we continue to bring in more players, it will be weeks before the Hock can get a settled team together.

On Beradi, what a prat!! But at least it ensures who will be at RB cum Saturday. If Sharp does arrive, he has to start with Smith, Poleon or Doukara. Hunt and Morison (when fit) need to be loaned out with a view to them moving on.

Question for you all. With all these newbies, what's our starting XI when everyone's fit? No small task that. So enjoy

Happy that the deffence is coming on nicely. I still say we need width, a left back (possibly) and another Striker.

Anyone think the Hock might be thinking about playing Byram and White in the wing positions or will he stick with the diamond which will see us destroyed by anyone will natural wingers?

Push come to shove I'd settle for two wingers <ok>

WALLYMAN said on R5 last night that we have four people having medicals today.
Perhaps the fourth one is either Hunt (to see if he is actually alive or Lionel Messi coming on a try before you buy deal.

Surely if we are getting Sharp that will be the end to all of the Vile Ranger rumours? He better not be the fourth medical today...

Decent enough win last night, dropped away in the 2nd half but I challenge any team to bring Hunt on and still play well!

    TEAM v Boro:

    Silvestri
    Bryam Bellusci Cooper Taylor

    Austin

    Bianchi Tonge

    Ajose Doukara

    Sharp

Fourth one could be the Hock either but having put hunt on again, his medical could be more of the psychiatric type
