At times in those five years he'd been our most important player and he called Phil Dowd a **** .The best is yet to come from Catts he will either have a great injury and suspension free season or will be sent off at West Brom and go on a crazed rampage in a shopping trolley round Stockton.

Huge fan of catts, always have been. We're a worse team without him that's for sure.

Agree with all the above. On top of that it's about time we recognised, valued and appreciated players for sticking around at SAFC - a bit of consistency is good.

I think he's a liability and soon as he's been booked should be taken off! On his day he is a great player though granted...

Catch up tiz, he played 33 games last season and picked up 1 red which was debatable by the standard set by that referee and 6 yellow cards. He wasn't even in the top 20 bad boys last season. He's made the effort to sort his discipline. A bit of acknowledgement from his own fan base is the least he should get. He won't be able to shrug off the rep if we as fans won't.

You can tell he has worked massively on his passing, he is clearly keen to improve so I can only see him getting better

    Yep,

He, more than anyone, seemed to have gone up a notch with his distribution under Gus.

You can never train the determination and will Catts have, born that way, he is a good tackler when he has patience, if he continues to improve passing wise, and shooting, he's actually got a decent shot, how many times has he gone close before he actually scored, he could be a top, top player, easily.

Bruce best buy probably, given the lack of loyalty of Bent & Gyan.

Poyet's style of play suits him better. He seems to have more time on the ball now and doesn't have to spend 90 minutes chasing lost causes and making rash challenges because of it. If we can add the onion and borini he can only improve further. Does anybody ever think he could ever get an England call up?
